Kansas City Chiefs: Eric Berry out for the Season with a Torn ACL
The bad day has carried over to Monday in Kansas City. Jason La Canfora has reported that safety Eric Berry is out for the season with a torn ACL. Chiefs head coach Todd Haley confirmed the report at 2:15 P.M. CST.
The officials called two injury timeouts in the first quarter of Sunday's game between the Chiefs and the Bills for Berry.
With Berry unable to return to Sunday’s game, Jon McGraw stepped in and recorded eight tackles. Since entering the league in 2002, McGraw, who will most likely replace Berry for the season, has started 27 games in his career.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Behind McGraw on the Chiefs depth chart is Donald Washington at the strong safety position. At free safety, the Chiefs have Kendrick Lewis backed up by Sabby Piscitelli.
With Berry out for the season, the Chiefs will continue to struggle drastically against the pass. Even though Tamba Hali is still on the team to provide the pass rush, it’s not going to mean as much without a player, like Berry, in the defensive backfield to pick off ill-advised throws.
There is very little reason to believe that Lewis and McGraw can make a major difference. Lewis is in his second season and still growing. McGraw can be a reliable safety as a backup, but he doesn’t do well as a full-time starter.
As of now, Brandon Flowers seems to be the lone leader at defensive back for the Chiefs.
There is also a lot of controversy among fans that Bills wide receiver Steve Johnson went for a chop block against Berry. Johnson said on his Twitter account that he had no intention of trying to hurt Berry.
Berry made the Pro Bowl during his rookie season and led the Chiefs in interceptions. Berry is the second player from the team’s 2010 draft class to join the IR with the same injury. The Chiefs lost Tony Moeaki after he suffered a torn ACL in the fourth preseason game in Green Bay.
