WWE '12 Roster: 8 Tag Teams We'd Love to See in WWE

Daniel MasseyJun 6, 2018

If you have been watching WWE programming lately, then you will know the WWE is trying to revive the division.

With the lack of tag teams currently in WWE, they need to sign some new talent.

I have listed eight tag teams that could potentially join the WWE and who I would love to see get a shot at the tag team championships.

I have highlighted the likelihood of each team’s chance of appearing in WWE.

Enjoy!

The Mexican Sensations: Sin Cara & Sin Cara

1 of 9

I can’t be the only person that wants to see two Sin Cara’s botching their way around the ring in an explosive tag-team formation.

In what I now assume is common knowledge, two men have portrayed Sin Cara in the character’s short career so far so I won’t bend your ear about the history of that.

I will refer to each Sin Cara as “Huni-Cara” and “Misti-Cara” in reference to their past wrestling names.

Huni-Cara has just recently turned heel, by kicking Daniel Bryan right in the face—I can’t think of a much better way to turn heel myself. Needless to say, I would have Misti-Cara come back as the face and the two Sin Caras would have to battle each other in a lucha libre match filled with exciting impressive spots.

Only after this could this tag team stand any chance of being formed. The two could reconcile, realise how awesome they’d be and form a tag team ready to take on the likes of Air-Boom.

Obviously this would help Misti-Cara get used to the WWE’s style of wrestling as Huni-Cara knows it like the back of his hand, so the skills would be passed on.

I think the team would be great and The Mexican Sensations would be a pretty cool name for them as well.

Likelihood of them appearing in WWE: Depends on how the Sin Cara situation unfolds...

The Celtic Warriors: Drew McIntyre & Sheamus

2 of 9

I still don’t understand why Sheamus and McIntyre haven’t formed a tag team yet.

Granted, with Sheamus’ big main event push recently, he isn’t really in the position to be in tag team matches; however, in a few months time he could be in the same position as the Miz.

To rectify this, he could team with McIntyre to form The Celtic Warriors. Not only is it an awesome name for the two because of their country of origin, but I think the two would make a brilliant team.

I really like Drew McIntyre and I’m annoyed that we haven’t seen him for a while.

If he was to get involved in the tag team division then we would see more of him.

Everyone knows about my man-crush on Sheamus so we’ll leave it at that.

Check out the awesome custom TitanTron by sapas100.

Likelihood of them appearing in WWE: Likely if Sheamus gets de-pushed again.

Two Man Rock Band: Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel

3 of 9

These two have only just split up as a tag team, and I think it was a great shame.

They gel extremely well and with a little push could be respected as a dangerous tag team.

However, they need to reform for that to happen.

They are already three-time tag team champions.

I came up with the name “The Two Man Rock Band” which admittedly, probably isn’t the best name in the world but it’s a play on Slater’s gimmick and I’m not a member of WWE creative.

Likelihood of them appearing in WWE: Likely-ish

Wrestling’s Greatest Tag Team: Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin

4 of 9

Put your hand up if you want Shelton Benjamin back in the WWE.

OK, I can’t see you but I assume that’s quite a lot of people.

If WWE think there is no room for him in the singles division, why not sign him with Charlie Haas and have Wrestling’s Greatest Tag Team wreak havoc over the tag team division?

They have a proven track record in the WWE, and I think the fans would go nuts if these two were to join the revival.

They recently signed contracts with Ring of Honor and are currently holding the promotion’s tag team championships.

Likelihood of them appearing in WWE: Not bloody likely.

Beer Money Inc.: Robert Roode & James Storm

5 of 9

Beer Money Inc. are a tag team made up of Robert Roode and James Storm.

They are a proven commodity in TNA and they are four-time TNA tag team champions.

They hold the record for the longest championship reign at 212 days.

I think WWE would be very clever if they signed this team as it would not only help to revitalise a dying division in WWE, but it would also take one of the best tag teams off the competition.

Bobby Roode however, is now challenging for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship in October at the next TNA PPV.

Likelihood of them appearing in WWE: Not as likely as it should be.

Kings of Wrestling: Chris Hero & Claudio Castagnoli

6 of 9

Once triple tag team champions for CZW, Chikara and Ring of Honor, the Kings of Wrestling would be an excellent addition to the WWE roster, bringing the prestige to the division it so desperately needs.

They were named tag team of the year in 2010 and are currently wrestling for Ring of Honor.

Get them in WWE!

Likelihood of them appearing in WWE: Again, not very likely unfortunately.

The Briscoe Brothers: Jay Briscoe & Mark Briscoe

7 of 9

To compliment the Kings of Wrestling, WWE could bring in the Briscoe Brothers.

Six-time ROH tag champs Jay and Mark are an excellent tag team that can work extremely well in the ring.

Not only would they put on a spectacular show, they could help to develop the WWE tag teams that are already formed.

Not too much of a job seeing as there’s only about three.

Likelihood of them appearing in WWE: Becoming a trend this isn’t it? Not likely.

The Young Bucks: Nick Massie & Matt Massie

8 of 9

This tag team is probably the most likely to join the WWE roster.

Making a name for themselves in TNA, The Young Bucks have never actually won the tag team championships in that promotion.

Nevertheless, they have already had ties with WWE. They recently wrestled a try-out match for the promotion but were reported to have been disrespectful to Booker T, mirroring the story form RVD in TNA.

They are currently free agents and WWE should snap them up. I’m sure they’d learn some respect fairly quickly if they did join the promotion.

Likelihood of them appearing in WWE: Likely! I knew there’d be at least one...

Needless to say, if all of the proposed tag teams started in WWE within the next year, there would no longer be complaints surrounding the division.

Obviously, not all will join (if any) but I think the WWE would be a bit silly to pass a chance to sign any of this talent.

We will have to see. Are there any tag teams you would like to see in WWE?

Please let me know who in the comments section below.
