Madden 12: The 5 Players Guaranteed to Get Injured in Your First Game
Injuries are a torrid thing. No matter the sport or league, whether it be the NFL, NBA or MLB, one single injury can ruin a franchise's whole season.
Just ask Indianapolis Colts' fans how they feel about Peyton Manning and the doom and gloom emanating from his injury right now.
Here are five players to avoid relying on for your coming season on Madden 12!
Bob Sanders
1 of 5Sanders has been the poster boy for NFL injuries over the past two seasons, as he has landed on IR in both years.
This is reflected in Madden this year, as he has a 45 injury rating. Don't expect to ever get 16 games out of Sanders in a single season, as he plays a demanding and rigorous position of run stuffing strong safety for the Chargers.
Sanders will likely be looking to lay people out with the hit stick, but in reality, that will probably end up worse for him rather than the opposition.
Reggie Bush
2 of 5Reggie Bush has never been a bell cow running back or even able to carry his fair share of the load in a two-back system.
With his 60 injury rating and the likelihood is he sees a lot of time on the field for the Dolphins, it won't be long before Bush finds his way to the sidelines and leaves you working with a backfield of Daniel Thomas, Larry Johnson and Chad Henne....good times!
Ryan Torain
3 of 5Developing a franchise? Got a young quarterback? Need an abrasive runner to rely on? Well keep on looking!
Ryan Torain may appear like a reliable runner at a good age to carry your franchise's offense for a few seasons, but the truth is with his 45 injury rating, he probably won't be around long enough for your team to become a contender.
Chad Pennington
4 of 5Pennington may be taking a year out in real life, but I think he's the only one that believes he will actually be back next year.
He has a long injury list, and if you're in need of a stop-gap quarterback in franchise mode this year, you'd have a better chance of talking Brett Favre out of retirement (Actually, that should be a feature!) than keeping Pennington and his 40 injury rating on the field.
Anthony Gonzalez
5 of 5Gonzalez may not even be on the Colts' roster come the start of the regular season in real life, as he is once again injured.
He is a talented player but has featured about the same amount as Sanders has during the past two years, so he can't be relied upon. His 55 injury rating and the invention of the hit stick signals an early end to Gonzo's season more often than not...Gonzo really is an appropriate nickname.
