This Week In Wrestling: What's In The Cards For The Superstars?

Ron JohnsonNov 17, 2008

Instead of doing the whole daily previews, I decided to combine them all into one huge preview. Special props to all the writers of the Wrestling Section who have done their hardest to keep us intimidating. So with that said, here's a preview of this week's pro wrestling broadcasts.

RAW

With no General Manager in sight for the WWE Flagship, the McMahons are starting to feel the pressure from its RAW Superstars. Remember the anarchy that swirled after Mr. McMahon's "accident?" Well, it's starting to build up some serious momentum now...and it continues tonight. For the first time ever, Stephanie McMahon will hold an open forum to answer any questions that the superstars have in regards to anything that is going on with RAW.

Thanks to Orton's punt at Unforgiven, CM Punk was forced to relinquish the World Heavyweight Championship. Since then, he's been on a mission for redemption. But thanks to Ted DiBiase, he fell short of his goal. But tonight, he gets another chance to get some payback on the Legend Killer. Before they join their respective teams at Survivor Series, the two men will do battle for more than just a victory. They could be grabbing some serious momentum for their teams in the process.

Chris Jericho finished his war with Shawn Michaels with a victory thanks to JBL in their Last Man Standing Match. With HBK leading a team against Team JBL at Survivor Series, Jericho will now put all his attention to his opponent for the World Heavyweight Championship at the pay per view: Boston's own John Cena. With just two weeks until their epic encounter, it's clear that Jericho is determined to keep his title at all costs. But the biggest question is if Cena will make any appearances before his return to his hometown.

Who will step up and get some power back before Survivor Series? Find out tonight on RAW!

ECW

After weeks of his boisterous attitude, Jack Swagger will have a chance to prove himself as he will face Tommy Dreamer in an Amateur Wrestling Challenge tomorrow night on ECW. Can Dreamer finally get the Sooner Monkey off his back? Or will the All-American American continue his dominance over the Original King of Extreme?

After last week's epic encounter, Finlay and Matt Hardy will team up once again tonight. After finding out that they will join Batista, R-Truth and The Kings of Punk to face Team Orton (Cody Rhodes, William Regal, Mark Henry & Shelton Benjamin) in a Survivor Series Elimination Tag Match, the Irishman and ECW Champion will team with one half of the World Tag Team Champions Kofi Kingston to face three of the men that will be on the other side of the ring at Survivor Series. So tonight, Finlay, Hardy and Kingston face Henry, Regal and Rhodes in a six man mayhem tag match.

TNA IMPACT! Cross The Line

Last week, the Young Lions Club lost a heartbreaker at Turning Point. Last week on IMPACT, Eric Young was the only one who tasted sweet revenge by becoming the X Division Champion. But there is a bigger war going on in the tag team division, which showed last week as Team 3D has made it their business to take out Beer Money.

The Main Event Mafia took out Christian Cage due to his lack of allegiance to TNA. On Thursday night, the Mafia will continue their busy times as they will not only explain their actions, but Kevin Nash and Kurt Angle will lock horns with The Monstrous Blueprint in a continuation of their heated rivalry.

Speaking of rivalries, Christy Hemme returns to the six-sided ring to join forces with TNA Newcomer Sojourner Bolt to face The Beautiful People. But The Monstrous Queens are also looking for some new rivalries after their victory over Taylor Wilde and Roxxi last week. Raisha Saeed has decided to make it clear that if competition is not found by Thursday night, there will be severe consequences for everyone in the IMPACT! Zone.

And last, but certainly not least, there is the situation brewing between the Motor City Machineguns and Mick Foley. The Guns showed no respect to their fellow Lions or to the TNA Executive Shareholder last week, but still managed to show some kind of unity after EY won the X Division Championship. But the Lions are blaming them for Jay Lethal losing his shot at the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Foley has promised that there will be some repercussions coming for both Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley. Tune in to find out what is going to happen as TNA continues to cross the line.

SmackDown!

Things just keep getting better and better on SmackDown! Ever since this new attitude of Jeff Hardy, Vickie Guerrero has become a more enjoyable person to see. Her most recent decisions have even placed her in the Top 25. But how can she keep this momentum going? Here's how...

Last week, Hardy dropped Vladimir Kozlov through a table and ripped the contract for Survivor Series before throwing it at Triple H. He followed that shocker with an upset victory over The Undertaker in an Extreme Rules Match. Now he has another chance at something. Thanks to his victory last week, he has a chance to add his name to the WWE Championship Match in Boston. Vickie made a huge match for Friday night as Hardy will face Triple H one more time, and the rewards are simple: Win and you're in.

Speaking of The Deadman, Big Show has been a thorn in his side since making the challenge for The Casket Match at Survivor Series. So far, the two men have managed to be at a stalemate since the acceptance, but neither are scheduled to compete tonight. With that said, expect 'Taker and Show to lock horns at least one more time before their encounter at the end of November.

Hope this helps you out with scheduling your team meetings at work. See you tonight for RAW.
