WWE Breaking News: Triple H to Face CM Punk at "Night of Champions"

Tom Urtz Jr.Jun 7, 2018

Just when we thought we had WWE figured out, they once again throw the fans a curve ball. Earlier on Raw, Kevin Nash asked Triple H to book him a match against CM Punk for "Night of Champions."

The request was granted and everyone was happy.

At Raw's end, it was announced that the match was cancelled and that Triple H instead would take on CM Punk in the main event match.

SmackDown will air live on Tuesday night and it is being promoted as a "Super Smackdown."

Usually, we are forced to wait a week to pick up where we left off on the previous week's Raw. However, we will be able to pick this feud up tomorrow night.

Tonight's programing was certainly another interesting episode of Monday Night Raw. I am not surprised that Triple H was interjected into this feud.

This moment has only been building up for weeks now. By interjecting himself into this feud, the focus is taken off of Nash and Textgate; CM Punk is now the prime focus. Putting over CM Punk and continuing to build him up is good for business.

Many fans were skeptical when Nash was given ample television time and fell flat during his promos. Now, not only does this create the feud we all wanted to see, but Kevin Nash can feud with someone and not kill CM Punk's momentum.

Where do you see this feud going? Will Kevin Nash and CM Punk have a match in the foreseeable future? I hope this whole feud isn't entirely scrapped. It has some potential; both men are feisty in-ring performers

Kevin Nash is a CM Punk fan and has indicated in the past that he wants to work with him.

Kevin Nash has also known to be in the thick of controversy.

Nash sent out this tweet weeks ago and it may still leave fans wondering what could have been.

"

Kevin Nash Punk if you want back up you got my number.Your worth me going back on the road full time.Offer stands understand if you want to go it alone

"

Maybe Nash felt snubbed and angry that Punk didn't reach out to him, which seems very NWO like—join willingly or pay the consequences.

Nash is now back in the spotlight after signing a big-time WWE contract, and he could have a good feud with someone on the roster.

I am also interested in seeing if any other players like Shawn Michaels will be interjected into this feud. He has a lot of history with both men and it wouldn't be odd to see him appear back on WWE programing at some point.

Wrestling is for the fans and we have a voice. We want wrestling and I feel this is a great way to air out some ideas.
