Pro Wrestling Top 25 Rankings: Team Extreme Goes Flawless
There is nothing better than knowing that you're proving your worth in ways that no one would have expected. For the boys of Cameron, North Carolina, this was the week to show their true colors. And boy did they do just that! Here's this week's Top 25 Rankings heading into tomorrow night's RAW.
#1) Jeff Hardy (SmackDown!)
The Enigma known as Jeff Hardy appeared on SmackDown! with a new look and new attitude. Because of that attitude, Jeff Hardy not only defeated the Undertaker, but he also put Vladimir Kozlov through a table and threw a ripped contract at the WWE Champion. In the process, he has a chance to make the WWE Championship Match at Survivor Series a Triple Threat.

#2) Matt Hardy (ECW World Champion, ECW)
The ECW Champion proved how much he intends on keeping the ECW Championship. He defeated Finlay in a physical battle on ECW. He then went to SmackDown! and defeated United States Champion Shelton Benjamin to continue dominating guys left to right en route to Survivor Series. So who's next to challenge the King of the Land of Extreme?
#3) William Regal (Intercontinental Champion, RAW)
William Regal got retribution for his suspension several months ago by silencing the Italian Goomba Santino and becoming the new Intercontinental Champion. The best part? He did it in front of his countrymen in London, England on Monday night.
#4) Main Event Mafia (TNA)
The Mafia went 4-0 at Turning Point, and now hold all the cards and the power in TNA. Despite constant adversity from Jeff Jarrett and Mick Foley, the legends of pro wrestling are making it clear that this is their world and everyone else is just living in it without their permission.
#5) Finlay (ECW)
The Irishman has nothing to be ashamed of. He defeated Mark Henry to become the #1 Contender for the ECW Championship. He then gave Matt Hardy the fight of his life. But despite all that, he was still a gentleman about it as he shook hands with the champion after their epic physical battle.
#6) Randy Orton (RAW)
The Legend Killer knows how to push buttons. Just ask Mike Adamle, Shane McMahon Team Priceless & now Batista. After taking out Ted DiBiase two weeks ago, Orton has become a target for Cody Rhodes and Manu as well as The Animal. But he's still the better heel on RAW than the World Heavyweight Champion.
#7) The Dirt Sheet (ECW)
They now know who they have to face at Survivor Series. They know that their Internet War with Cryme Tyme will conclude in Boston. They also know that they will have another round with at least one member of DX. But what they don't know is what season it is. Regardless, they have given us nothing to be jealous about, but have done enough to make themselves noticed in this week's Top 25.
#8) Rey Mysterio (RAW)
The Maestro of the 619 defied the odds once again as he recorded his second No-DQ victory over Kane. He managed to use Kane's own aggressive behavior to his advantage to secure the win. Now the question is has he done enough to put himself in the World Championship Hunt?
#9) Beth Phoenix (Women's Champion, RAW)
Where her beau failed, she picked up the slack. I'm sure that's not the first time that she has had to finish something her boyfriends have started. But she managed to defeat Mickie James (via Santino's interference) and retain the Women's Championship. But I would be wary of her reign as the Divas Division continues to get better and better.
#10) Shane Sewell (TNA)
I've been waiting for this guy to do something that will put him in the rankings. Last Thursday night on IMPACT!, the TNA official got pushed over the edge and decided that he would be the first official to Cross The Line as he helped Eric Young become the new X Division Champion.
#11) The Undertaker (SmackDown!)
After spending the last few weeks #1 or #2, the Deadman falls via his own tunnel vision. Instead of having the knowledge to finish the job against Jeff Hardy, he focused his attention on a 7' giant pain in the ass known as Big Show. But when it's time for that Casket Match at Survivor Series, expect the Phenom to get more than just vengeance from the World's Fattest Athlete.
#12) Kung Fu Naki (SmackDown!)
If people are wondering why this guy is here, consider this: In MVP's quest to claim that incentive bonus, Kung Fu Naki has managed to shock, upset and defeat the Franchise Bust. And it does help that this new persona of his has managed to entertain everyone in the WWE.
#13) Chris Jericho (World Heavyweight Champion, RAW)
The man who claims to be the best has yet to prove that. Thanks to some objects in the cage, he's the World Champion once again. Thanks to JBL, he ended his war with Shawn Michaels with a victory. Now what do you think will happen when Jericho & Batista are back in the same building...especially since the McMahons will not give Batista his rematch for the gold until after Survivor Series?
#14) Jack Swagger (ECW)
This cocky and arrogant Sooner may be due for a loss. And considering that he seems to not be making friends lately, he may join Oklahoma on the receiving end of an @$$ whuppin' courtesy of some extreme players: Tommy Dreamer and Texas Tech.
#15) Mike Knox (ECW/RAW)
The baddest man on ECW finally made his debut on RAW with a quick impressive win against D'Lo Brown. But due to that time off, he may have bitten off more than he can chew. And considering where he's at now, I would choose my enemies wisely.
#16) Batista (RAW)
The Animal loses some spots mainly because of the match he was stuck with. What happened to The Animal's Unleashed Aggression? In any event, he might want to find that because he will need it heading into Survivor Series without the World Heavyweight Championship. Besides, my kid can beat Cody Rhodes.
#17) The Young Lions Club (TNA)
Eric Young gave them a reason to cheer. The Guns gave them a reason to jeer. And Team 3D gave them a reason to unite. Now whether they will this Thursday on IMPACT! remains to be seen. So many egos. So many pink slips on the horizon.
#18) Shawn Michaels (RAW)
The Heartbreak Kid gave Jericho everything he can handle, but thanks to JBL, he was left with a headache and a loss. Now he has to rally his own troops to step up when it matters as he will lead Rey Mysterio, Cryme Tyme and and The Great Khali against JBL, The Dirt Sheet, Kane & MVP.
#19) The Brian Kendrick (SmackDown!)
Kendrick doesn't deserve this spot. His muscle deserves it more. Thanks to Ezekial Jackson, the two may have gotten themselves a future tag team championship match after an upset victory over Carlito in singles competition. Did I mention that it was Jackson's pounce on Primo that sealed the deal for Kendrick?
#20) Vickie Guerrero (SmackDown! GM)
Every week, Vickie Guerrero finds herself making smart show decisions. After giving us Undertaker-Jeff Hardy II, she raised the stakes once more by offering Jeff Hardy a shot at the brass ring once again. All he has to do is defeat Triple H this Friday night on SmackDown! Good move Vickie! Damn good move!
#21) Michelle McCool (Divas Champion, SmackDown!)
The Divas Champion makes her first appearance in the rankings in quite a while. Because of her tough victory over Maria, Michelle once again proved that she will do whatever is necessary to keep the Divas Championship. But don't be surprised if someone comes out of nowhere to take that Purple Gold from around Michelle's waist.
#22) Beer Money (TNA Tag Team Champions, TNA)
They took care of the Guns at Turning Point. They had a slugfest with Samoa Joe and AJ Styles on Thursday night. But now they have a bigger problem: The 20x Tag Team Champions Team 3D are looking not just for redemption from the fiasco two weeks ago, but also their 21st tag title reign. BMI: Sorry about your damn luck!
#23) Team 3D (TNA)
They should be the #1 contenders for the tag titles, but thanks to Beer Money, they came up short from grabbing the contract. But their close to getting redemption as they got some shots in on the champs during their match against Joe and Styles. Now they will look to continue their road to redemption all the way to Final Resolution.
#24) Christian Cage (TNA?)
No one knows what's going on in the head of Christian Cage right now. We don't know whether he's planning a return to WWE or if he's just yanking everyone's chain. But we do know that on IMPACT! this Thursday, he will be looking for revenge on the Main Event Mafia after the whacking they pulled last week.
#25) WWE Universe & TNA FanNation
We deserve to be here every week dammit! The writers aren't completely listening to us, and it looks as if some are showing favoritism to former WCW Superstars. For this reason, every member of the WWE Universe and TNA FanNation will be in the Top 25 from here on out! Got a problem with that WWE & TNA? Didn't think so! So we got two words for you: S*CK IT! and Be Jealous!
Upcoming Events: WWE Survivor Series (November 23rd) & TNA Final Resolution (December 7th)
