Tyreke Evans Video: Watch Sacramento Kings Star Take Teenagers to School

Josh MartinJun 7, 2018

Count Tyreke Evans among the ever-lengthening list of NBA stars who have used the extra time off during the lockout to bolster their YouTube portfolios.

Even if he did so at the expense of some high school kids' confidence.

Evans, the 2010 NBA Rookie of the Year, took to the court at the Boost Mobile Elite 24 Midnight Run, which pits the top high school ballers in the country against young NBA stars. Evans was joined on the court by Milwaukee Bucks point guard Brandon Jennings and Minnesota Timberwolves forward Derrick Williams.

By all accounts, Jennings and Williams impressed against their amateur competition, though Evans stole the show with his incredible handles, sky-high hops and feathery shooting stroke.

Not even the opposition's bright orange jerseys and neon-colored kicks could distract the Sacramento Kings star from putting on a show.

This display has to be encouraging to Kings fans, who missed 19 games last season with plantar fasciitis in his left foot and struggled to build on his successful rookie season as a result.

Of course, the ongoing dispute between the NBA owners and players will likely keep Evans from showing off his healthy self for a while longer, though we can only hope he'll stay active on the street-ball scene to help feed our need for hoops.

In the meantime, fans in Sacramento can only fantasize about the success their beloved Kings will enjoy when Evans pairs up with the sweet-shooting Jimmer Fredette in Paul Westphal's back court.

Offensive success, that is. As for the other end of the court, those two will put up about as much of a fight on defense as did Evans' high school competitors in this video.
