Floyd Mayweather and Victor Ortiz HBO 24/7 Returns Saturday, August 27
Mr. 24/7 himself is back.
Yes, Floyd Mayweather, Jr., boxing's flashiest star outside the ring, is back this Saturday, August 27, to let us all know who the real star of 24/7 is.
Of course, 24/7 Mayweather/Ortiz's ultimate goal is to get the public excited for their upcoming welterweight championship title fight on September 17 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on HBO pay-per-view.
According to a press release from the executive producers of HBO, 24/7 Mayweather/Ortiz's first episode premieres Saturday, August 27 (10:00-10:30 p.m. ET/PT) on HBO.

Episodes two and three of 24/7 Mayweather/Ortiz debut on subsequent Saturdays—Sept. 3 (10:00-10:30 p.m.) and 10 (10:00-10:30 p.m.)—while the finale debuts Friday, Sept. 16 (9:00-9:30 p.m.), the night before the super showdown. All four episodes will have multiple replay dates on HBO, and the series will also be available on HBO On Demand® and HBO GO®.
“Mayweather vs. Ortiz” takes place Saturday, Sept. 17 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and will be produced and distributed live by HBO Pay-Per-View® beginning at 9:00 p.m. (ET)/6:00 p.m. (PT).

Of course again for those of us who do not have HBO you can still watch 24/7 Mayweather/Ortiz on CNN after the initial HBO airing.
Many fight fans agree that Mayweather definitely knows how to turn it up and work the cameras for self-promotion like no other fighter.
Unfortunately, Floyd has had some trouble with his family and the law since we last saw him on 24/7. It would be interesting to see what 24/7 decides to include footage of with so much going on in his personal life.
Ortiz, on the other hand, is such a likable guy and such an underdog to root for, I think it will be safe to say he will gain a whole new audience of fans as well from this award-winning reality series.
