WWE RAW: The Miz and R-Truth Take a Stand Against the Conspiracy

Sean O'NeilJun 7, 2018

RAW on Monday night was a fantastic show, and the storyline revolving around CM Punk, Kevin Nash, HHH, John Cena, Alberto Del Rio and the WWE Championship, consumed the majority of the show.

Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne became the new tag team champions, and once they come up with a cool name, I might really start getting excited about the Tag Team Division again.

But despite all the hype surrounding those two storylines, the segment of the night which intrigued me the most was when The Miz and R-Truth beat up Santino Marella and proceeded to shoot a promo together in the ring.

It has been months since Truth started his conspiracy talk about the WWE working against him, and tonight, Miz joined him in his view. While Truth was talking about HHH, John Cena, etc., and how they "sit around the conspiracy table and...conspire," Miz talked about he was no longer going to wait for his opportunities, but he was going to take them.

There was a fire in Miz's voice which I have not heard from him in a long time, and it was refreshing. Ever since Miz lost the WWE Championship, he has been pushed around by Cena and Alex Riley, and then he lost a chance to become WWE Champion in July when he lost to Rey Mysterio. After tonight, I do not see him getting pushed around anymore. Truth has his back, and maybe he can now become a more dominant figure.

The two were also pretty funny together, with Miz bashing the Canadians in the stands and Truth...being Truth. (And Truth is rapping again!)

What the future holds for these two is hard to tell, but I could definitely see them become a formidable opponent for Kingston and Bourne for the Tag Team title. After that, we're just going to have to wait and see.
