Matt Hardy Fired from TNA and His Top 5 Next Career Moves
Now that we have all had the night to sleep on the big news of Matt Hardy's release from TNA, let's look at all of his options here.
To be honest, there are not too many. This is the wrestling business, where there are now many available jobs at all times.
I am going to try to keep this as realistic as possible, so any "Fatt Hardy" jokes about working at a doughnut shop will not be counted.
5. WWE
1 of 5This is the least likely. I just do not see anyway WWE would bring him back after every unprofessional act he pulled last year.
I suppose he COULD return someday, but until all of his issues are in order, WWE won't even give Matt a single look in his direction.
Too bad.
4. Retirement
2 of 5Let's face it. Matt Hardy has had a good career. Not amazing, not great, but yes - a good career.
If he woke up tomorrow and called it quits, he would leave behind many memories for fans. Spanning many years, he left his mark in WWE (and TNA...hahahaha).
While retiring seems like a long shot, don’t act surprised if he thinks about it...
3. ROH
3 of 5He has been in "Ring of Honor" before, so why not? They are about to get on TV, with a decent television deal and are making some waves in the business.
Yes, it is a step down, but Matt Hardy has burned too many bridges in the bigger companies, so he may not have a choice here.
Clean himself up and have a nice run in ROH, sounds fine by me!
2. Movies/TV/Youtube Fun
4 of 5Whether we love it or hate it, Matt makes a ton of videos. Some are embarrassing. Some are funny. Others are downright scary.
Perhaps he could cut a deal with a major producing company and actually make a living off of it? That would be a pretty cool career move, if you ask for my opinion.
Again, anything that is positive for him right now is needed.
1. TNA
5 of 5That still shot of the video sums up Matt Hardy right now!
Yes, I see Matt Hardy making his way back to TNA. They fire people all the time, only to bring them back months later (years later) as if nothing ever happened.
I still stand by my prediction I made a few weeks ago: Jeff Hardy will be back in TNA by October, so you have to wonder where Matt's future fits into all of this...
