WWE Rumor: CM Punk Hopes to Not Be "Buried" by Triple H

Justin WatryJun 4, 2018

This is yet another story that I am sure the IWC fans are worrying about.

Punk is set to enter into a feud with the "corporate structure" of WWE.  That could include Nash, Triple H, Steph, Johnny Ace, and anybody else the company decides to bring back.

In a recent interview found here, the topic was brought up.  How does CM Punk leave this feud?  Better?  More over?  Same level?  Or the infamous "buried"?!?!

Well, as you can read in the link provided, Punk is a very smart man and knows the history of this business very well.

He knows, and I quote here, "The future of the business is in jeopardy right now."  He would be right and wrong at the same time.

As he puts it, if WWE does things the right way here, everything will be just fine.

However, even Punk understands that if the company goes back to the "WCW ways" and lets Nash and/or Triple H run over guys, as he puts it...

"I don't know if there's going to be a business in 30 years."

It has been no secret WWE is in a re-building mode and has been for about a year.

Shawn Michaels retired.  Edge retired.  Batista is gone.   Jericho is gone.  Undertaker is almost done.  Triple H is all but done.  Big Show, Kane, Rey, and others are winding down in the coming years.

I apologize if I missed any big names, but the fact remains – WWE needs to get these young (or not so young) guys ready for the future.

Again, kudos to Punk for speaking out like this because how WWE handles this feud could very well tell how the next decade or so will go for this business...
