Ndamukong Suh's Fine Proves the NFL Is Not Taking Player Safety Seriously
Last season, Ndamukong Suh was fined a mere $7,500 for trying to rip Jake Delhomme’s head off and $15,000 for an MMA-like forearm strike to the back of Jay Cutler’s head.
Neither of these fines were even remotely close to enough if the NFL is serious about the safety of its players.
A player with a contract like Suh's probably has $7,500 in his pocket at any given time, and even $15,000 is not enough to make him blink an eye.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The point of these fines is to discourage the player from committing the same infraction in the future, and this did not do the job.
Suh’s slamming of Andy Dalton in Week 1 of the preseason proves that not only has Suh not changed his overaggressive tactics, but he also has no intentions of doing so.
The NFL slapping Suh with a $20,000 fine for his slam of Dalton is a complete waste of time and energy. Suh does not think he has done anything wrong and will continue playing like an animal until he’s either suspended or ends someone’s career or life.
Critics will say you can’t take away a guy’s aggression or you’ll make the game of football soft and pathetic.
This is nonsense.
You can be aggressive and make hard tackles without playing like a total idiot.
Grabbing anyone, quarterback or not, by their head with both hands is stupid and puts players at risk. There is NEVER a reason to grab someone by the head. If you think that makes the game soft, so be it.
The NFL missed their chance to make an example of Suh three times now, and someone is going to get seriously injured if they don’t do something to stop his overaggressive and stupid play.
