WWE Rumors: 5 Matches We May See at Night of Champions

Justin WatryJun 7, 2018

Yes, another WWE pay-per-view is already coming up.

Just wait until next month, when they have a few every two or three weeks. Then it will really get chaotic.

Today, I am just going to quickly mark down five matches we are in store for come Night of Champions.

Monday Night RAW

Remember, every title will be defended, but every match does not need to be a title match.

Orton vs. Henry for the World Title

I am all for this one. Weeks back, I called for Christian to move out of the main event scene (just for a little bit, relax people), and it looks like he is done.

Some will never give Henry the credit he deserves. As they say, "haters gonna hate," but the man has been on a roll, and a world title shot is a good move for all involved.

Del Rio vs. Cena for the WWE Title

I suppose they could make some sort of three-way or four-way match on the Raw brand, but let's just keep it simple (stupid).

Cena will main event for years to come, and WWE has to keep on bringing up new heels for him to feud with.

Del Rio fits that description perfectly and will do a fine job here.

They have had a match before, on a Raw before WrestleMania, so they are familiar with each other.

Good place for both men!

CM Punk vs. Kevin Nash

I am torn on this actually happening.

It sure seems like it, but I just do not know if Nash will be getting a big match so soon.

With all the clues out there, why not just have a match come September?

They could even drag this out for another month or two, because the end game seems to be Triple H vs. Punk down the road.

Intercontinental Title Cluster with Cody Rhodes

The logical answer would be Cody defending his IC title against Big Zeke again, but I do not see that.

I see a huge ball of humanity fighting for the belt next month.

Throw in Sin Cara. Throw in Ted. Throw in Zeke.

There is just a huge group of mid-card talent on SmackDown right now, so this one seems fine to me.

No harm done for Cody or anyone involved.

Diva's Title: Kelly Kelly vs. Beth

Yeah, Kelly is going to get squashed one of these shows.

Whether it is versus Nattie or Beth, someone is going to take the title off of her soon.

My pick is Beth. She got the mic time on Raw, and she is the one being featured more and more lately.

All of this is to kill time until Kharma is ready to return and "confront" one of the stronger divas for a WrestleMania match.

As Bart Scott would say, "Can't wait!"
