Wrestling Rumor: TNA Still Has Not Paid Former WWE Talent?!

Justin WatryAug 15, 2011

For those paying attention to the latest buzz from the wrestling world in the past week or so, this story has been one of the few "underplayed" stories.

A couple of days ago, I covered the story making the rounds of Jimmy Wang Yang not being paid by TNA for his appearance on TNA Impact last June. (Click here for that one.)

This one is merely an update to the above mentioned "horror story." (Click here for the latest in this ever growing embarrassment for TNA.)

Basically, Jimmy is back on Twitter, and it is not looking pretty for DixieLand down south. According to Jimmy (and why would he lie?), it has been seven weeks, and he has yet to get his money for the work he put into that company.

In a different link, we get another layer to the mess that TNA is not up to snuff on its money.

Mike Mooneyham speaks (back in February) for his good friend Ric Flair that TNA does not often keep up with its payroll and some talent are weeks to months late in getting their payments.

Now, yes, this is Flair's friend, so the source may not be bias or anything, but it is still out there for everybody to know about. This, on top of many other stories out there about TNA-Flair problems—again from a few months back.

Now to wrap up this big ball of "cluster," let's get back to Jimmy Wang Yang. It has been awhile, and my feelings still have not changed.

This is terrible on every level, and for a TNA staff member to get angry at Yang in this whole ordeal just sums up TNA as a company to me. Again, I pray to the heavens this whole thing is overblown, and a simple banking error caused this, or something innocent. I sincerely hope so.

If not, I can't imagine Yang or any other free agent returning to this company, and quite honestly, why would they?
