WWE Monday Night Raw Results: DelRio Wins, Nash Leaves Us with More Questions

Tom Urtz Jr.Jun 7, 2018

Monday Night Raw tonight was very unordinary. It was the first Raw in recent memory that barely showcased John Cena. He only came out at the end to save Mysterio from a Del Rio attack.

Alberto Del Rio retained the Undisputed WWE Title against Rey Mysterio in a very high paced match.

Cena then cut a scathing promo criticizing ADR, how he one the title and how he now has a target on his back.

He then put over CM Punk, saying how he earned his title win at SummerSlam. Cena guaranteed a victory over Del Rio if the WWE Title was put on the line.

Triple H appeared at the start to state that he had no involvement in what happened with CM Punk. He claimed that he made huge mistakes counting the pin fall on Cena.

He personally announced he would apologize to John Cena. Kevin Nash would later stir things up a bit when he called out the COO, saying that they needed to get on the same page.

Key points of the night included the promo between Kevin Nash and CM Punk. It was full of many moments that got fans laughing, thinking and contemplating.

CM Punk criticized Nash, saying that he didn't know what was best for business.

This was a result of Kevin Nash's claim that he was texted to ring the winner. In the case of Punk, he was the byproduct of " just business." It is interesting also how many references to WCW, the NWO, and the Kliq were made tonight.

This seemed to dominate the minds of the fans, which was odd because the primary event of this show was supposed to be the title match involving Rey Mysterio and Alberto Del Rio.

I thought the promo between Kevin Nash and CM Punk was great. Nash has a reputation that we all know about. He is a money guy and likes to ride the money train. Hitching himself to the feud of CM Punk for him is good for business.

We saw how he became all hands on deck during the NWO angle in WCW, and that was a mega money train.

More questions emerged when Stephanie McMahon told CM Punk, "In the end, everyone gets what they deserve." What is this in reference too? Did she send the order to Kevin Nash?

Is this a prelude to a return of The Corporation I referenced earlier today?

What is going to happen with this feud? Why are there more questions than there are answers? Why is the "Anonymous Raw General Manager" stand still up?

These are questions we all want the answers to. Another possibility that emerged involves John Laurinitis. He want to speak with Kevin Nash in private. Did he send the text message? Is he attempting to get revenge on CM Punk?

What we know, however, is this: WWE has done something it hasn't done in a while. It is making us fans want to tune in more and more each and every week.

I think it is a given that many of us fans are going to have a hard time making it to next Monday Night. What they are doing is working, and the fans are loving it. CM Punk, John Cena, Triple H, Kevin Nash and Stephanie McMahon are all in the thick of this; what role does each person play in this larger conspiracy?

We are going to have to tune in for many weeks to come until we finally have some answers.

Raw was full of many high points tonight and it kept us on the edge of our seats. I would love to know what you are thinking right now.

Wrestling is for the fans and we have a voice. We want wrestling and I feel this is a great way to air out some ideas.
