WWE Rumors: Alberto Del Rio to Retire from WWE in 5 Years?
Yes, that title is correct.
According to this link, it seems as if Del Rio already is planning on "moving on" from the wrestling in the not-so-distant future.
For those not interested in clicking on the story, it is definitely worth a read. Basically, he says he is done in five years. When the time is right, he will have a farewell tour.

Based on the story, it seems as if this interview took place last week, but in the scheme of things, it doesn't really matter when it was said—the fact remains, Del Rio says he has five years left.
Should we be shocked by this? Maybe a little.
He seems like a big part of WWE and their future plans, but you also have to remember he is not some young 20-year-old kid.
He has been wrestling for many years (not necessarily WWE) and, being a top talent elsewhere, I would guess he's made a nice chunk of change in his career.
The next question to ponder is whether he is smart to say this.
I believe Anderson (from TNA) said the exact same thing a few weeks ago.
Whether it just slipped out or he meant to say it, Anderson has been saying ever since that he has been booked to look like a chump.
Maybe it's a message of the old "You don't want to be here, get out!" Who knows?
It just strikes me as odd that both guys would proclaim they are done in five years, even though both seem to have a bright future and could be built around for many years to come.
Last question to jump into today: Do I believe Alberto?
That is a tough one. I am going to say "yes," but if he is still as good as he is in five years, I could see WWE doing everything in their power to keep him around.
Again, he is not exactly a spring chicken—but you already knew that!
