WWE Monday Night Raw 8/15/11 Preview: The 'Undisputed' WWE Championship? Hardly

Tonight, on WWE's Monday Night RAW, we'll see the aftermath of SummerSlam, which was certainly a great PPV that had no shortage of quality matches, and surprises.

The WWE Championship unification bout between CM Punk and John Cena was one to remember, but as the finish played out, it's no stretch to say that the WWE Championship is anything but undisputed.

With CM Punk going for the pin, special guest referee Triple H missed, or simply disregarded, John Cena's foot on the bottom rope, and Punk scored the pinfall.  CM Punk celebrated as a dazed John Cena informed Triple H that his foot was on the rope, and all was well, for a minute or so.

As John Cena left, accepting what had just happened, Kevin Nash came in through the crowd. Nash entered the ring, hit the Jackknife Powerbomb, and left Punk crushed in the center of the ring. Alberto Del Rio then made his way to the ring with his Money in the Bank briefcase, and another referee.

Unlike past cash-in attempts by Del Rio, the referee made it official, and the match was on.  The dazed CM Punk got to his knees, only to be hit with a vicious kick to the head, and Del Rio got the three-count, making him the new WWE Champion.

There are many, many questions after last night, but we should get some answers tonight.  One thing that is certain, is that there are no shortage of options for the WWE in this situation.  

John Cena could appeal CM Punk's victory, citing his foot being on the rope during the final pin against CM Punk.  That would then make Punk's win void, which would of course, make Del Rio's win over Punk void as well.

Let's also not forget that Rey Mysterio is set to challenge for the WWE Championship tonight.  His reported knee injury has kept him from participating in singles matches, even last night Mysterio opted for a tag match rather than a singles match against The Miz.  

Does this mean that we could possibly see a WWE Championship match tonight where Mysterio and Del Rio are joined by Punk and Cena in a four-way?  

We'll have to tune in tonight to find out!
