Kevin Nash: WWE Needs Big Sexy as Alberto Del Rio's Bodyguard

Jun 7, 2018

After picking up the pieces of what happened last night at SummerSlam, WWE needs former star Kevin Nash as Alberto Del Rio’s bodyguard.

It’s that simple.

Besides the WWE mishandling the CM Punk storyline, for what they have made out of it, this isn’t too bad.

The WWE needs to meet their John Cena quotient in every title picture, so at least they got his "foot on the rope" episode out of the way before the fun actually began. That will be Cena’s way back into the title picture later on, possibly even gaining entrance for a Triple Threat title match.

Either way, Cena will be involved in the title picture so trying to dispute it or deny it is futile.

What can’t be denied is how great it was to see Kevin Nash enter the ring behind CM Punk, and the looks on the faces of the crowd as they watched their WWE champ get jackknifed into oblivion.

With CM Punk out cold, Alberto Del Rio ran to the ring and cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase. With a kick to Punk’s head, Del Rio walked out of SummerSlam the new WWE Champion.

There is a strong belief in the wrestling community that Del Rio paid off Nash to KO whomever won the match, and the signs point to that being the truth. With Triple H looking so surprised at both Nash’s appearance and Del Rio’s victory, odds are that he wasn’t involved.

All things considered, the fact that the match was set up so perfectly to have Nash interfere lends itself to the possibility of Nash being Del Rio’s hired gun.

Nash has always been one of the best workers in the business, but he is most known for his huge size and his ability to work the mic. If there have been any qualms about Del Rio’s ability to be WWE Champion, they can be fixed by letting infamously brutal Kevin Nash verbally joust against CM Punk.

The alliance is perfect for both men, with Nash really putting Del Rio over as a heel and acting as his voice at times while not having to wrestle on his bad knees.

The WWE has rushed every angle they have put out since the Triple H takeover, but to see Kevin Nash out there again made me think that maybe there really would be change.

If the company starts to concentrate more on the mic skills and wrestling abilities of their stars instead of their size and strength, the WWE can go back to being great every pay-per-view like it was before.

Del Rio is one of the most promising of all the stars on the WWE roster, and using Nash as a manager/mercenary type character is a great way to get their new champion over as a heel.

This is the big time for Del Rio now, and Nash will ensure that his reign as WWE champion is not only entertaining in the ring, but on the mic as well.

I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to see the promos that get cut with Del Rio, Triple H, Kevin Nash and Cm Punk in the ring.

Hold on to your hats, this feud could get epic everyone!
