WWE Summerslam: Top 5 Divas Moments in Summerslam History

We have all loved the divas over the years.

Girls. Guys. Boys. Men. Women. Everyone!

With this Sunday's Summerslam being the biggest party of the summer, I have decided to take a look back and give the divas their due.

A lot of times only WWE and its fans focus on the men inside and outside of the ring. Not for this list! While there were not a lot of options to choose from, I came up with my favorite divas moments from past Summerslam events.

5. Christy Hemme as a Cheerleader

This one still makes me bonkers 6 years later. How did Eugene ever get Christy Hemme to follow him around? Really? Eugene was a great character, but somehow he got the girl here! Sadly, Eugene got squashed here, and nobody cared.

What did everyone care about?

Well, besides Angle dominating the match? yes, that outfit she was wearing - Hemme look "oh so good". This one easily cracks the Top 5 just because of how energetic she was at ringside and on this particular night - that cheerleader costume overshadowed everything!

4. Stephanie Mcmahon Involved in the 2000 Main Event

As much as I did not enjoy the triple threat match between Kurt Angle, Triple H and The Rock at Summerslam 2000, Stephanie did play her role well here. I am never going to take that away from her - she plays a great heel.

When you add that up, the drama all around Kurt and The Game leading up the event, you get a #4 ranking that is fitting for the divas. How often does a woman play a role into the main event? Of the second biggest show of the year? Hmmm...exactly! She deserves this spot, and to be honest - could even be a little higher up on this list...

3. Kat vs Terri

Next up will feature a match. Yes, a match. How rare does a diva match take place at Summerslam? It is rare, only happening on a few different nights. The reason this get such a high ranking is that it was a one on one bout, and it was an actual feud with time invested into it.

Not a 20 diva battle royal with no meaning or anything like that. This was a legit feud going on for months and months and months and months between two girls ready to tear each other apart. Throw in the "Stinkface" factor, and you got a hit on your hands!

2. Layla Shower

Some may have forgotten about this moment, but I sure have not. What a way to welcome in a new diva...a shower spanking! Back in 2006, this was "A-OK" in the world of WWE, and it certainly did live up to the title.

I could not have asked for much more here. Well, maybe Trish in a match with Lita, but that took place a month later..oh well! This was all about the locker room full of girls having some fun with the "newbie" with some funny lines, good acting, and a SHOWER! Thank you Layla! Still your best moment...

1. Miss Elizabeth/Randy Savage Match Made in Heaven

This has to be #1. There was no other choice even being though of here. When a Wedding can headline a show, you know you have something. A tag match with Hogan on one end and a Miss Elizabeth segment on the other. Throw in  Macho Man and the whole story - you've got a doozy!

To have a woman headline Summerslam (Summerslam!) by marrying a man, it really showed how great both Randy and Liz were many years back. It is a shame how both are not with us anymore, but you can best believe when their names are called for the WWE Hall of Fame, they should go in as a couple...hand in hand.
