George Clooney and Stacy Keibler Dating? Future WWE Involvement?

I was just roaming through this fine site, and in the news feed I read that Stacy and George are reportedly now dating and/or hooking up in some sort of way—significant enough that it would make some headlines, at least. While this column may not be for everybody, I thought I would use it as a platform to discuss celebrities and WWE going forward from here.

As most know by now, I am not a fan of "fantasy booking." I suppose I dabble in it once in awhile, but talking about HBK vs Daniel Bryan, Andre the Giant vs Big Show or even Stone Cold vs Hogan just doesn't interest me at this point in my life. Maybe when I was younger, but it is just a waste of time now.

Until something concrete links a match or scenario into actually having a prayer of happening, it is all just mumbo-jumbo that means nothing. That's why I am not going to talk about George Clooney coming in for WrestleMania or Stacy coming back and winning the Diva's title. That is not going to happen...

HOWEVER! Stacy has been linked to WWE in the past. She even called them to host a Raw episode in the past year or so, to which WWE seemed to enjoy but opted not to. She has done a few promotional appearances for their website and such since she left the company years back, so it seems they are on good terms.

George Clooney, on the other hand, does not seem like a "wrestling guy." Maybe that is just me judging, but he just does not seem like he cares for WWE one way or another.

Could Stacy convince him to go to the Hall of Fame, maybe to attend in the crowd? Could she ask him to walk her down the aisle if she makes a Raw cameo? Could they tape a PSA together to give Linda McMahon some good pub for one of her political endeavors down the line?

All seem unlikely, which is why I won't jump into those situations, but what I will jump into is who the next celebrity I do see participating with WWE is: Shaq! That is the man I see doing something with WWE, whether it is in the ring or not. He is retired from NBA, so he has a lot of free time.

The NBA season will likely be postponed due to Lockout, so he has no games to broadcast for awhile. He is the only one I see worth while right now. As I mentioned above, WWE did a great job of getting away from the celebrity fun each and every week. That was a great move.

Bringing in Snooki for Mania and bringing in Shaq for SummerSlam/Survivor Series/WM 28 is perfectly fine,. Big Show is due back in a month or so, and we all know their history. That is why I see George and Stacy staying away from wrestling, but at the same time, I see Shaq coming into wrestling.

It makes all the sense in the world to see Shaq and WWE together soon...a lot more sense than an article on George Clooney in the WWE section of a website...
