Video Highlights of the Best One-Handed Catches in the NFL in Recent Memory

Chris TrapassoJun 7, 2018

With this week's somewhat surprising news that future Hall of Famer (yes, he's a Hall of Famer) Randy Moss, why not put together a list of the best one-handed catches in the NFL that we've seen in the past few years.

Just describing the one handed catches wouldn't make any sense, so I've tried to gather the video highlights for these stunning grabs

Let's take a look...

Keyshawn Johnson's One-Handed Catch Against the New York Giants

1 of 11

All right, it's from a few years back (Drew Bledsoe throws the pass), but what a ridiculous grab by the outspoken Keyshawn.

The ball is tipped, it's behind him and he makes the catch with his left hand.

Somehow, he avoided a huge hit as well.

Props Mr. Johnson.

Malcolm Floyd Against the Denver Broncos

2 of 11

Malcolm Floyd is one of the more unheralded wideouts in the NFL.

He's tall, athletic and can make one-handed catches like this one.

Parrish Cox of the Broncos clearly interferes with Floyd as the ball is in the air, and it's a bit overthrown, but he adjusts wonderfully to the ball and makes a diving one-handed grab.

This is part of the reason why Philip Rivers has mind-blowing stats each season.

Danny Amendola Against the Seattle Seahawks

3 of 11

Sam Bradford won the NFL's Rookie of the Year last season thanks to outstanding grabs like this by breakout receiver Danny Amendola.

Amendola became a stud in points per reception fantasy leagues last season as Bradford's go to target (85 catches) but none of his grabs were nicer than this one...

Brandon Marshall Against the New York Giants

4 of 11

Brandon Marshall's combination of size, speed and soft hands make him one of the most dangerous wideouts in the NFL.

Last season was somewhat of a disappointment in Miami, but he rarely let down the Bronco fans during his tenure in Denver.

Take a look at these two one-handed acrobatic catches he had in the same game against the New York Giants.

He makes it look way too easy.

Antonio Cromartie Against the Indianapolis Colts

5 of 11

Remember this game?

Peyton Manning threw five interceptions and the Chargers won on a missed chip-shot field goal by Adam Vinatieri.

Yea, craziness.

Antonio Cromartie had three interceptions in the game, but his full extension, one-handed pick in the second quarter was easily the best of the game,

Pardon the somewhat grainy video.

Pierre Garcon Against the Washington Redskins

6 of 11

This one comes from a tightly contested Sunday Night Football game last season between the Washington Redskins and the Indianapolis Colts.

Pierre Garcon, who battled injuries much of last year, was having issues catches passes early in this game, then pulls off a one-handed grab that had everyone putting their DVRs to use.

The ball sticks to his hand and he reels it in like it's a baseball.

Dallas Clark Against the Baltimore Ravens

7 of 11

OK, Peyton Manning is the backbone of the Indianapolis Colts, but without players like Dallas Clark the kings of the AFC South don't operate as smoothly.

This grab by the Colts tight end comes from a 17-15 win against the Ravens in 2009.

Clark reaches out with his right hand, grabs the football and tip-toes the back corner of the end zone to make a catch that, well, tight ends usually don't make.

Lee Evans Against the San Diego Chargers

8 of 11

We rarely hear of Lee Evans because his plays in Buffalo, but he certainly has held his own against some of the top cornerbacks in the NFL during his time as Bill.

This eye-opening, one-handed touchdown grab against the Chargers in 2008 makes the list because of it's creativity.

Evans pads the ball on his helmet after he brings it in with his right hand and gets both feet in bounds.

Yes, 5'11'' wideouts can catch fades in the end zone.

Troy Polamalu Against the Tennessee Titans

9 of 11

The defending Super Bowl Champs opened the 2009 season in style beating the Tennessee Titans in front of a national audience.

Pittsburgh Steelers fans can thank Mr. Polamalu.

His one-handed, body-twisting interception of Kerry Collins is an instant classic.

Just watch.

Troy Polamalu Against the San Diego Chargers

10 of 11

Yes, Troy makes the list twice.

I think he's the best playmaking safety in the game and has made some unbelievable interceptions during his time in the Steel City.

None better than the one-handed pick he scooped inches from the ground against the Chargers in 2008.

Randy Moss Against the New York Jets

11 of 11

How can Randy Moss not make this list?

He was so nonchalant about this one-handed TD catch on the best corner in the game, but that's how Moss was throughout his career.

No big deal.
