WWE: My Elimination Chamber Match Idea for Night of Champions
For the WWE, the question that has to be asked is where will the WWE Championship Picture after Punk v. Cena Part II at SummerSlam?
Will they feud again? Or will a new challenger face off against the Champ?
Rey Myesterio, The Miz, Alberto Del Rio as well as the loser of the match will all have been involved in the immediate title picture in the last two months.
So here is my idea for what SHOULD happen with Raw after SummerSlam.
Bring back the Devils Prison, an Elimination Chamber Match for the WWE Championship at Night of Champions with Punk, Cena, Mysterio, Miz, ADR and a sixth WWE Superstar.
Just think of how awesome this match would be? All the superstars have legit claims at a title shot.
The loser of the match as Summerslam (which for the rest of this article will be John Cena, just because that's my prediction on what will happen) would get his title rematch, Rey Mysterio would also get his title rematch that he never received despite winning the Raw Championship Tournament.
The Miz also deserves another title shot of some sort considering he was in a WWE Championship match for a vacated title. Oh and remember when Alberto Del Rio won that No. 1 contender match for the Championship after CM Punk had been suspended? Well he never exactly got his title shot either.
In this storyline Punk and Triple H would go back and forth in promos for several weeks with HHH saying Punk was the worst thing to happen to the WWE and that his sole purpose was to make sure Punk loses the title, finally culminating in making him defend it in an Elimination Chamber match at NOC.
Creative could have reasons to giving any of these stars the title, and just overall it would be an awesome match with six of the WWE's best Superstars.
But first thing's first, who is No. 6?
Idea No. 1 : Returning Superstars
1 of 7Since this is my storyline and I can pretty much do whatever the heck I want, I toyed with the idea of making this match even more awesome and adding in a returning superstar.
Chris Jericho, The Undertaker and even Stone Cold Steve Austin were all thoughts that came into my mind, but in the end I decided to keep it at least semi-realistic and went with someone currently in WWE.
Idea No. 2: Someone from Smackdown
2 of 7The second thought that came into mind was to insert a Smackdown Superstar as the sixth member having them surprisingly come out as the final entry into the match shocking the other five Superstars in the match.
Three Superstars in particular came to mind as they all could use a boost in their careers that could come from switching to Raw and getting an immediate title shot.
Wade Barett is certainly a superstar who is talented enough to be in the World Title discussion and could use the push provided from being in this match and moving to Raw.
Mark Henry's gig on Smackdown is beginning to wear thin and a move to Raw and getting a WWE title shot could be what he needs to remain a relevant factor in the WWE.
Sheamus seemed to have inserted himself in the World Heavyweight Title feud last month with Christian and Randy Orton, but after losing the MITB match, Sheamus has dropped into the mid card on Smackdown getting into seemingly random feuds with Barett and Henry in recent weeks.
WWE already knows Sheamus has what it takes to be WWE Champion, and maybe they think he would be the perfect edition to the EC match.
Although all of these options were tempting, I once again decided to shy away from it and go in a different direction.
Idea No. 3: Someone from the Raw Roster
3 of 7The most obvious choice here was to go with someone from the Raw roster already, and in this storyline, I decided that COO Triple H has decided that to determine the Sixth Man in this match, he will have a four-person Tournament on Raw involving the following superstars
R-Truth seems to be the most obvious choice here as he would even up the heels and faces and certainly has the charisma and star power to belong in the match.
John Morrison would provide great in ring wrestling to the match as well as exciting the IWC, so he certainly deserves consideration.
Kofi Kingston has been involved in Elimination Chamber matches before and would also provide entertainment to the crowd with his high flying moves, even if he was not a real contender to win the match.
Dolph Ziggler does hold the second most important belt on Raw, so I guess he also deserves some consideration.
In the Tournament, Truth knocks out Kingston and Morrison beats Ziggler creating a SummerSlam rematch for the final spot.
In the finals, Truth wins after giving Morrison a low blow when the ref was distracted by The Miz. Truth and Miz celebrate and vow to work together in the match until they are the final two.
But their jubilation is short lived as the COO himeself comes out and says that he does not want cheaters in his title match and that in fact the tournament was a diversion all along for the real sixth participant's name to remain a secret.
Truth rambles on and on about this adds to the conspiracy against him, but Triple H ignores him and simply states that next week he will reveal who the sixth man will be.
As the next week's show begins, Triple H opens by saying to the audience that the final participant in the Elimination Chamber Match for the WWE Title is....
Idea No. 4: Triple H
4 of 7Well it's none other then The Game himself.
In the end the choice was so obvious. Triple H's return to the ring could not be anymore triumphant, and it plays with the storyline perfectly.
Triple H could even state he has no intentions of winning the title for himself and would vacate if he won but that he just wanted to assure that CM Punk did not walk out as champion.
So How Does It All Go Down?
5 of 7So we've finally arrived at the match. Six men in the Chamber for the WWE Title.
Triple H makes sure Punk will have to go through the ringer if he will defend. He announces Punk will be one of the two superstars who will start the match, and Triple H will enter last.
Punk starts against Mysterio and the two go at it for a rather uneventful five minutes. As the crowd settles in, we hear CM Punk, Cena and Triple H chants from the raucous crowd.
After the five minutes are up, it's The Miz's turn to join the action. Mysterio attempts to hit Miz with a dive off of one of the chambers, but it's engaged superstar ADR grabs Mysterios leg and attempts to drag him underneath.
Meanwhile, Miz gets up, and he and Punk begin to battle outside of the ring exchanging blows into the steel.
After another five minutes is up, Cena enters. Unfortunately the crowd goes nuts. It's apparent that even though the primary fued is with Punk and Triple H, Cena is still the most popular superstar in the building.
He immediately takes out all three competitors and attempts the STF on Miz, but Punk interferes.
Punk and Cena begin to fight, as Miz and Mysterio rest up outside the ring. Cena gains the upper hand and evantually goes for the five knucle shuffle on Punk in the middle of the ring, but then out of nowhere, Miz returns and gives Cena the Skull Crushing Finale, pinning him and stunning the fans.
Creative finally eliminates the SuperCena auora and allows others to gain a push, while allowing Cena to develop his fued with The Rock. And just like that Cena is out almost as quickly as he entered.
Soon after ADR enters, the crowd doesn't care.
Random fighting for five minutes but no elimination. Finally The Game enters, and the fans who aren't still in Cena shock go nuts.
Mysterio is fighting Punk against the turnbuckle. He is instructed by Triple H to leave him alone so he can get his hands on him, but refuses infuriating Triple H, who then punches Mysterio knocking him out cold.
The fans are confused until they realized Triple H is sporting a pair of brass knuckles. He then gives Mysterio a pedigree and eliminates him.
Down to four.
Part 2.
6 of 7Triple H and Punk begin to go at it after the Mysterio pin, but Triple H quickly loses his brass knuckles, as Punk steals them and tosses them aside.
After a suplex to the Game onto the steel floor, Punk is attacked by Miz and the two begin in the ring.
Evantually Punk hits Miz with a running clothesline, knocking him down. But when Punk turns around, ADR flies off the top rope and attempts a flying slam but Punk intercepts him, puts him into position and gives him a GTS and there goes Del Rio, thanks for playing.
Miz rolls out of the ring and after a few seconds of celebration by Punk, Triple H hits him from behind gaining an immediate upper hand.
The game throws Punk into one of the glass chambers and then throws Punk into the ring and attempts a pedigree, but Punk counters of nowhere knocking The Game down and Punk locks in the Anaconda Vise.
After nearly a minute, Triple H taps out, much to the delight of the crowd.
After making him tap, Punk taunts Triple H as he is rolled out of the ring screaming at him from inside the chamber as Triple H begrudgingly walks out to the back.
But Punk does not see The Miz lurking behind and as soon as he turns around Miz spears him.
After pullng him up Miz goes for and successfully hits the Skull Crushing Finale on CM Punk. The fans are stunned. One, two,.....but at the last second, Punk somehow kicks out and the match continues.
After a couple more minutes of back and forth, Punk gets his second wind and eventually gives Miz the GTS and gets the pin to retain the WWE Championship in one of the most memorable matches in recent memory.
So What'd You Think?
7 of 7Will it ever even come close to happening Not a chance but sometimes it's nice to have an imagination.
Feel free to comment if you liked it or hated it and any revisions you would have made, thanks for reading.
