WWE News: Does Colt Cabana Backstage at Raw Signify a Deal?

It has been no secret that CM Punk has re-sgned with WWE. It also has been no secret that CM Punk wanted a few "perks" before inking his new deal. Smart business people tend to do that.

Of course, he wanted his own music, which Vince got him and is paying the rights fees for (something he rarely does). Also, one would expect more TV time and/or more of a push for the Straight Edge Savior. That goes with out saying.

Helping out his friends is also rearing its head.

Beth (girlfriend) is now getting a push after months of doing nothing, Zack Ryder (friend) is getting TV time on all three shows, and now it looks like Kings of Wrestling and/or Colt Cabana could be making their way to the WWE.

Kings of Wrestling (from ROH) may be a different case, but make no mistake about it: Punk is lobbying for the WWE to hire his "best friend in the world," Colt Cabana.

Reports have come out that say Cabana was backstage at the Raw taping, and of course, he was at Money in the Bank in the front row getting some face time.

Call it lucky; call it chance; call it just visiting friends.

Call it what you will, but with Colt apparently no longer taking indy bookings and ROH about to make a splash with their TV deal, I see the WWE signing Colt Cabana to a new deal, thanks to the lobbying CM Punk.

We do not really need to get into the whole "politics" things right now, but at this point it sure looks as though Punk is dipping his toe into the political game more and more these days, whether his fans want to admit it or not.

As of now, I'd expect to see Colt Cabana on Monday Night Raw one of these weeks, with or without the tag team, Kings of Wrestling.

Almost as if they would all come together to join a group ... to create a stable ... like a cult ... like a Cult of Personality?
