WWE: Evan Bourne and the 7 Best High Flyers Currently in WWE
Here we are again folks!
A new week is starting and that means another fresh batch of red-hot goodies right off the presses for you.
For as long as I can remember, we WWE fans have always been excited when it came to watching high-risk maneuvers executed from the top rope.
Forget the John Cenas and Randy Ortons, I'm talking about the masters of the air, the ones that deliver the spots we literally have heart attacks over.
There aren't that many who are able and willing to take such risks but for some reason, whether "face" or "heel," these guys always get the intense approval from the fans.
It is a show after all so anytime I get to see such a feat performed on screen or live, I think to myself: "this guy is doing this to impress the pants off of me" and it works.
I love it every time.
Now, looking at the current WWE roster, I have gathered up the best of the best and brought to you the top high flyers in the company.
These Superstars are truly...born to fly!
Justin Gabriel: The Angel Soars to Greater Heights
1 of 9Justin Gabriel...Young, fast and agile.
A perfect high-flyer and a former tag team champion alongside partner, Heath Slater.
Not only is this man allegedly courting our new Divas Champion Kelly Kelly but should WWE ever restore the Cruiserweight division, I'd see this man being the champion on numerous occasion.
Though that is not the case, I cannot deny Gabriel has immense potential. He could eventually break out and become an Intercontinental or United States champion. That remains to be seen.
Right now, him being in a tag team is the right place to be. His alliance with Slater keeps him on television and adds some spice to the dwindling tag team division.
He won't get lost in the shuffle that way and we'd get to see that amazing 450 Splash every time he shows up.
Sounds great to me.
Some people claim he could snatch the WWE championship someday and be a main-eventer. I cannot see that happening anytime soon however for the simple fact that, he displays poor promo skills.
We need to see more of him and his moves.
Tyson Kidd: Fast and Furious
2 of 9Is he still coming out with a new manager every week?
What is the point of all this? Why did they split up the Hart Dynasty?
When you see Tyson Kidd in action, you don't have time to think of questions, you just watch and go Ahh!
He will hopefully make a fine addition to the Smackdown ladder match in a few weeks and with Sin Cara and Daniel Bryan in there as well the I hope to see some moves between the three we've never seen before.
His speaking skills are not that bad, I don't know why he doesn't get a segment here and there so we can see what this one is really capable of.
Like him as a "heel" I am not sure yet but definitely, Tyson Kidd gets people to cheer for him nonetheless everytime he comes off the top rope.
How can you not enjoy those high-risk maneuvers?
We need to see more of these super flyers every week with great programs against one another.
Kofi Kingston: Ready for Another Push
3 of 9I may not be a great fan of his but I will give this guy credit.
Kofi Kingston is one of those that will try to pull off any amazing stunt just to get us to go crazy.
Already a multi-time IC and US Champion, 2011 may be Kingston's year as the annual Money In The Bank pay per view fast approaches.
Whether politics got involved or simply because he doesn't display the qualities of a top main-eventer, Kofi Kingston's previous push was halted.
Now it is a new time ripe with possibilities.
I just hope he could develop his mic skills (which are alright I suppose) as well as his spectacular spots.
Time will tell where this guy will end up. I expect an exciting RAW version of the ladder match in three weeks.
With such an array of moves in his arsenal, it will truly be a must-see match. If he wins, look to the skies for this one as he's sure to reach the top come WrestleMania XXVIII.
Sin Cara: A Breath-Taking Sensation
4 of 9The future is here ladies and gentlemen.
Sin Cara seems to be one of the most promising acts in WWE right now. He looks like a little super-hero with his costume and light effects, that most certainly appeals to the younger crowds but also to fans who want to see some great spots.
What may hold him back is his lack for speaking English. This prevents him from delivering what could perhaps be great promos and fuel for spectacular storylines.
That can be changed however, anyone can learn a language and English is easy so Mr. Cara, hop to it!
Sin Cara is the first superstar signed to WWE under Triple H. That was a very wise move by "The Game" to snag us this one as he is a fresh and well-received sensation.
We should all expect a feud between him and Rey Mysterio in the future. Not only would that be one of the greatest things to happen in recent times but I am certain it could make headlines in some parts of the world.
Both are quite popular in Mexico and Latin America.
I know I'm bringing a pair of those extra-strength headache removers to their match. With all that flying around, we'd need some big time.
John Morrison: The Shaman of Spectacular
5 of 9I believe John Morrison could very well be on his way to the main event sometime this year should he recover in time from his injury.
There is a likeness between him ans Shawn Michaels but like HBK said, he needs to get meaner, have more "balls" backstage. That is why I want him to turn "heel."
All that aside, the "Monday Night Delight" has shown us time and again as to why he is such a magnificent athlete.
You just don't see moves like that executed every day and not everyone can take the risk. Morrison does and he does it so well.
He may not talk the talk much but his stunts speak louder than words. You just know when he is advertised in a match, it will be great to watch.
Starship Pain always looks so good!
I really liked his Extreme Rules performance this year. It is too bad a real feud with The Miz over the WWE championship never materialized. We could have seen the two exceed expectations.
That time may yet come but right now, I hope "Nitro" recovers well and quick enough so he can return and take assault upon the top of the mountain once more.
Evan Bourne: He Loves to Fly...and It Shows
6 of 9The minute I witnessed this guy performing his beautiful "Shooting Star Press" I knew he had won me over.
I love Evan Bourne!
Such an amazing talent. I even predicted he would take the United States championship from Dolph Ziggler sometime this year so let's keep our fingers crossed.
No one should ever underestimate this superstar. When you least expect it, he pulls out an amazing stunt and it's over.
I am happy to hear we are going to get our match on RAW tonight. Evan Bourne is set to take on Sin Cara to make up for the malfunction of last week's "Power to the People" vote.
A wise decision. No one ever could believe Mason Ryan was the chosen opponent. Are they going to scratch off that loss from Bourne's record too?
Evan Bourne and those like him are the reason why I hope they restore the Cruiserweight division.
In any case, we have the annual Money In The Bank event soon. I can only hope this guy is included in the match.
Without him, the match would be short one impressive "air-bourne" phenomenon.
Rey Mysterio: The Master...period!
7 of 9Say what you want about him or his supposed attitude, he is the master or the air and that's the bottom line cause I said so!
He has been doing this for so long you wonder if he'll ever stop. I doubt it. Even at 36, the man can still go.
I respect this superstar very much and admire how he hand picks his own opponents every now and then to help establish them on the scene. Cody Rhodes owes him a very special thanks for that.
Someday however, it may be time to hang it up as Rey is constantly dealing with injuries. The last thing he'd need would be to suffer Edge's fate so perhaps we are witnessing the twilight of the Mysterio era.
No matter what, the master of the 6-1-9 always provides us with great high flying action. I don't even know how he comes up with these moves.
It never ceases to amaze me.
Let's hope he gets into the RAW ladder match in three weeks. With Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne in there, that would be one of the best matches of the night.
I bet it will also signal the beginning of his next high profile feud. Who will the lucky superstar be?
Gail Kim: Honorable Mention to a Superb Diva
8 of 9The ladies are also great, phenomenal athletes.
Some, like Gail Kim here have that little extra...wings!
Gail is a former WWE Women's Champion and TNA Knockouts Champion. She looks amazing and her matches with Melina on Superstar recently have exceeded usual expectations.
Should she ever claim that Divas title, it would put her on the list along with Mickie James to be one of the few women to hold every major ladies championship.
I certainly hope so.
It still puzzles me as to why she is misused like that. I've heard the whole McMahon hates TNA talent thing but Kim was in WWE before that and it is a shame to pass on her incredible skills.
She speaks french too! Now THAT is sexy!
Well, I am very happy to add her on my list. She deserve nothing less.
WWE High Flyers...nothing Short of Spectacular
9 of 9Here you are gang, your eight best high flyers at the moment.
Whether a Cruiserweight division ever sees the light of day again it doesn't matter, we love these guys.
There are more to come apparently. Averno, another Mexican superstar has been signed to WWE recently.
Could he be a surprise addition to an upcoming Mysterio-Sin Cara program?
Who else are we to expect?
Ritchie Steamboat, Seth Rollins...both in FCW right now but soon, they'll be ready.
With all these amazing superstars together at the same time, they will take the WWE by storm.
Couldn't of asked for something better myself.
