Official ACTIM Premier League Stats Week Nine: Chelsea
Up until recently, Liverpool had held the record for the longest unbeaten home streak for a top flight team, with a huge streak of 63 games from 1978 to 1980.
Chelsea have taken that record and smashed it with a simply incredible run of 86 matches at Stamford Bridge, spanning a massive four years without loss, that was until their 1-0 defeat to Liverpool in the top of the table clash last Sunday.
Like Manchester United and Liverpool this season, Chelsea have seen injuries to key first team players like Didier Drogba and Joe Cole. Even with a few familiar faces missing and a trip away to surprise third placed Hull City in mid-week; Chelsea still have the strength in the depth of their squad to gain another three points.
