Da Silva is a good fight for Marlon. He is well rounded, but the experience department is where Sandro sticks out.

Expect it to be a fast-paced fight, with Marlon catching him from all angles. This fight could finish fast, but it is Marlon's debut and I will put my money on a 30-27 decision.

But, for a sneak peak I recently was in contact with Marlon and asked him a few questions about life, MMA, and other things. Be ready, America, Marlon Sandro is taking over!

This will be your first fight in the United States of America. How do you think you will be able to adapt to the cage, compared to a ring?

"

"I think I’m gonna adapt very well, I’ve been in some fights with Jose Aldo and I know the American people likes to pressure a lot."

"

Which gym do you train at?

"

"My team is NOVA UNIÃO"

"

Many fans in the USA are unfamiliar with your exciting fight style, are you making many changes in your game to adapt to the new setting for your upcoming fight?

"

"I think if I fight like I did in Japan, I’m gonna to please American fans, I always try to please all fans, not only the Japanese, who I love a lot, but everyone, so when I’ll fight in the US people welcome me."

"

Your Opponent, Genair Da Silva, is a very good talent, what do you feel you possess in your skills that gives you the advantage in this fight?

"

"I have the experience, that is a great advantage."

"

What made you pursue MMA?

"

"Because I wanted to improve my financial conditions, jiu-jitsu never paid any Money and I came from a humble family. I notice that the more you win fights the more you get money, so I decided to try MMA."

"

Do you enjoy other sports besides MMA?

"

"Yes, I’ve been competing in Body surf, that in Brazil it’s called “jacaré” (alligator) and I was champion. I like to watch motocross, afterwards I like sports in general."

"

On every website you are ranked in the top 5 at featherweight, what is your opinion on this?

"

"I think it is amazing, I work hard every day to be known all over the world and I’m happy cause people are enjoying my hard work, I hope I am always one of the best."

"

Your stand up game is very fun to watch, and it has truly evolved over the years. Which do you prefer, the Knock out or the Submission?

"

"Like I’ve said before, I work hard and I try not only to please fans, but improve in all aspects, the fight results are only consequence of my hard work. A knock out or a submission is great, but the sooner I finish the fight the better."

"

Have anything that you would like to say to Genair Da Silva?

"

"I don’t like to say anything before the fight, I only want to congratulate him for reach a great competition like Bellator, cause I know how difficult it is for Brazilian fighters to get there, even more in the US."

"

Lastly, anything you would like the fans that have never seen you fight know about what they should expect in less than two weeks?

"

"I only want to thank God and everyone, cause I know there is a lot of American fans that cheer for me, and not only Americans, but Canadians, Japanese and others. Thanks everyone and may God bless me so we can celebrate the victories together. Thanks for the interview. Hugs."
