WWE Capitol Punishment 2011 : Bleacher Report Prediction League

The WWE has returned to Washington D.C. for its first ever Capitol Punishment PPV!

Concussions and lingering injuries have made us all second guess our opinions.

Two alienated people go for major titles while the champions look to keep them. A giant is out to destroy a Mexican and a monster is out to destroy his brash-talking nemesis.

One thing we all know for sure is that Capitol Punishment will either shake the foundations of the WWE or make us complain that it is unwilling to budge.

Without any further ado, let's get this League started.

ANYONE CAN JOIN THE LEAGUE AT ANY TIME! If you miss this pay-per-view or someone couldn't make it, that's OK—you can join in on the next one.

Each PPV will be worth up to 30 points. No match will be worth more than five points. There will not be bonus questions this year.

I would like for those of you who respond to give a reason why you are picking who you are picking to win. This way we can create more debate and conversation for the League.

And if there is debate, please be respectful to your fellow league competitors, or you will be removed.

The Underdog Award will be in effect this week and worth three additional points to the person/persons who correctly calls the least predicted outcome.

The results of each Prediction League will be posted by Wednesday of the following week.

I will try to get Slammiversary up soon before I leave for New Orleans—I'll be gone for a week—and will get Capitol Punishment up when I return. (If anyone would like to help calculate the data for me, that would be awesome.)

Also, for anyone who has been in the league, you will receive supplemental points on top of the points you score, meaning that you will gain a percentage of your points from this event to be added to your points from this PPV to help you gain on the leaderboard and even everything up.

Match 1 - WWE Champion John Cena vs R-Truth - 4 points

Match 2 - World Heavyweight Champion Randy Orton vs Christian - 4 points

Match 3 - United States Champion Kofi Kingston vs Dolph Ziggler - 3 points

Match 4 - Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett vs Ezekiel Jackson - 3 points

Match 5 - Big Show vs Alberto Del Rio - 4 points

Match 6 - Alex Riley vs The Miz - 3 points

Match 7 - Rey Mysterio vs CM Punk - 5 points

There has yet to be an eighth bout announced, so please stay tuned to wwe.com for any match postings.  If the match is announced after the start of Capitol Punishment, it will not count towards this PPV.
