Philadelphia Eagles: Mid-June News and Updates Surrounding the Team

As June turns to the second half of the month, it is time to wrap up what has happened so far.

To start things off, one player has eased his way into the rumor mill, while one is slowly starting to work his way out. Those two players are Plaxico Burress and Nnamdi Asomugha.

Plaxico Burress is straight out of jail, and is so far favored to be wearing an Eagles jersey next year. Just like with the Vick situation, there is a lot of mixed feelings involving this. People hate the thought of him being an Eagle, but Eagle fans know he can surely improve the team, especially in the red-zone.

Plaxico had the highlight moment of his career when he caught the game-winning touchdown over the 16-0 New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLII, something he can hopefully do for the Eagles.

The idea really isn't too far out of reach; he is wearing very similar shoes as Vick (not literally of course).

Now with the Plax talks being said, that leaves Nnamdi Asomugha and his giant spotlight off of the stage. Before Burress was even a thought, the big craze was all about bringing Asomugha in and what not.

The talks have faded, but it is still an issue. Owner Jeff Lurie is known to make some big moves each offseason, and that one certainly looked to be the big splash. 

Kolb, however, is still an Eagle and will remain so until this lockout is resolved. 

Is anyone else being thrown into the Eagles offseason chaos? Well, guess what?

Many people have either overlooked this or simply just didn't hear about it, but the Eagles have signed a guy already that will have a huge impact on the team as soon as he can.

That man is defensive end Phillip Hunt, who played in the CFL for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers last season and topped the CFL with 16 sacks, four more than the next highest player.

So as soon as this lockout is lifted, you can expect to constantly seeing rumors upon rumors. 

Not much has happened this month yet, but I'm sure within the next few days, some more news and rumors will be thrown at you before you can blink.
