Terrelle Pryor: Chad Ochocinco Teams Up with Former Buckeye Quarterback

Tony SantorsaJun 14, 2011

Just about a week after announcing that he intends to enter the 2011 supplemental NFL draft, Terrelle Pryor has teamed up with Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco in some workouts in South Florida.

Like Ochocinco, Pryor has hired Drew Rosenhaus as his agent, and the former Ohio State standout impressed Ochocinco in the recent workout held earlier Monday morning.

In a recent tweet posted by Ochocinco, he compliments Pryor's "unbelievable arm strength" and his "superb timing," as well as posting a picture of the two after the workout.

Granted, Pryor may have a lot of talent, but should he be considered a quality NFL quarterback?

Many NFL general managers aren't too interested in Pryor, as he only completed 60.9 percent of his passes at the college level, and one general manager even feels that Pryor may be considered undraftable, according to Chris Mortensen of ESPN.

Pryor working out Ochocinco may be a whole act directed by Rosenhaus, as if he's attempting to get teams' front offices to believe in Ochocinco's hype regarding Pryor.

The supplemental draft is set to take place in July, and Pryor has a lot of work to do in order to impress some NFL teams so that he'll be drafted with a relatively high selection—but it's definitely unlikely.

According to SI's Tony Pauline, many scouts have told him that Pryor's projection for the draft is set around the sixth or seventh round, which certainly isn't what Pryor and Rosenhaus are looking for.

The NFL verdict is definitely out on Pryor, as there's a lot of uncertainty on whether or not he can be quarterback at the next level.

Pryor is one talented athlete but does not appear to be well suited as an NFL quarterback due to his inconsistent accuracy—not to mention his giant ego. He is going to have to do a lot to catch NFL scouts' eyes if he wants to make a roster this upcoming season.
