That MMA Guy: Top 10 Best Fight Hype Videos

I can't reiterate this enough. This IS NOT the best grudge matches, best hyped up-fights or best feuds in MMA history. It's simply the best MMA trailers ever made for fights.

This is really a tribute to NicktheFace2 on Youtube.com, as most of these videos were made by him. If you've never seen his work, you're in for a treat because he does a fantastic job hyping up the fights with his trailers.

Basically, I wanted to do something fun with all these great videos. From Anderson Silva vs. Chael Sonnen to GSP vs. Josh Koscheck, this slideshow features the best trailers to keep your adrenaline pumping through every slide.

10. Matt Hughes vs. B.J. Penn III

The rubber match that didn't last over a minute leads off the list at No. 10.

This video is an awesome highlight for both legendary MMA figures, portraying their rivalry and history with one other very well.

It'll make you want to watch that 21-second KO one more time.

9. Jon Fitch vs. B.J. Penn

I have to admit when this fight first came out, I was not excited at all about the match-up. I thought (and thought wrong I did) that Fitch would just hold Penn down for three rounds.

Then I watched this video and became very excited about the fight, really getting behind the story of Penn being the underdog. This is a role he rarely plays.

8. Cain Velasquez vs. Junior Dos Santos

Thank the good Lord in Heaven that this fight will take place. NicktheFace made this video a while back before either Velasquez got injured or dos Santos risked his title shot against Shane Carwin.

Another great video hyping up one of the biggest heavyweight fights in MMA history.

7. K.J. Noons vs. Nick Diaz II

This was a great match-up from the get-go, but MMA fans were disappointed after the Diaz vs. Jason "Mayhem" Miller fight fell through.

Showtime did a fantastic job with this video. For this one minute and two seconds, MMA fans forgot all about Diaz vs. Mayhem. Don't be scared, homie.

6. Georges St-Pierre vs. Josh Koscheck

It's in Montreal. It's Josh Koshcheck. It's the hometown-hero, GSP. Enough said.

5. Lyoto Machida vs. Rampage Jackson

NicktheFace killed it on this video. He made both guys look like titans on a collision course that would beat on each other for three full rounds. Too bad the fight didn't live up to this hype.

4. Urijah Faber vs. Jens Pulver

The UFC and WEC built this fight up like it was WEC's version of UFC 100. They did a very good job bringing attention to the fight, and this video certainly got casual fans interested.

This was a classic new school vs. old school showdown. The fight didn't disappoint, either.

3. Anderson Silva vs. Chael Sonnen

You can't make a list about hyping fights without Sonnen, who had the best pre-fight trash talk I have ever seen and gained thousands of fans because of it.

NicktheFace does a great job of showing Dana White's dislike for Silva's performance at UFC 112, thereby hyping Sonnen's willingness to bring the fight to Silva.

2. Brock Lesnar vs. Cain Velasquez

I don't know who made this video, but they should be commended. This is the best good vs. evil- hype video I've ever seen for MMA.

This showcased Lesnar's antics after UFC 100 and portrayed him as a villain. Velasquez looks like the beast that he is in this video, and it really got me excited for their match-up at UFC 121.

1. Frankie Edgar vs. Gray Maynard III

This hype video had everything from great highlights to great storytelling, great music, and pure emotion. And of all the great videos I've seen from NicktheFace, this is by far my favorite.

I was bummed when these two couldn't fight in May, but at least I have this video to get me by.
