WWE All-Stars Night: Could RAW Always Be at Long Island?

I don't usually write reviews after regular RAW shows, but tonight we had a special three-hour episode with many highlights to mention.

* Stone Cold Steve Austin was great as General Manager. It's a shame that the Anonymous GM will be back next week; Austin would be a huge boost for the week-to-week programming.

* Big Show vs. Alberto del Rio was announced for Capitol Punishment. This match will be crucial for the Mexican Aristocrat's career, maybe even more than his title shots. I'll write more about this later in the week.

* Christian vs Rey Mysterio was overbooked. The DQ had been a good way to make Christian look strong while protecting Mysterio's status. Needing help from The Nexus after the match had the opposite effect for Captain Charisma.

* I'm glad R-Truth vs. John Morrison didn't happen. Truth would have had to win and Morrison would have taken a step back. They way it was portrayed it's clear they will have a long feud (hopefully for the WWE Championship) after Truth is done with Cena.

* For the 5,928th time, Dolph Ziggler vs Kofi Kingston, now for the US title! Hey, these two have excellent chemistry, but come on, enough is enough!

* Piper's Pit was hilarious. "Just when you think you got all the answers, I CHANGE THE QUESTIONS!" That's my new Facebook/Twitter/MSN status for the rest of the week.

* 7 vs 7 Divas match, what a waste. So, you have Beth Phoenix, Natalya, Melina, Maryse and Gail Kim in the ring and all we get is Kelly Kelly vs. Rosa Mendes?

* No Zack Ryder, #%@&! I realize this was an “All-Stars” night, but Ryder had to be there.

* CM Punk beat John Cena cleanly, Christmas in June! I don't care if there was a distraction by R-Truth, this was a fantastic performance by Punk, who looked as strong as he hadn't been in two years.

* Could RAW always be at Long Island? What an excellent crowd. The chants during the Cena-Punk match were the loudest in months and overall they reacted very well to the promos and matches.
