10 Greatest WrestleMania Matches from 2000 Onwards

Aidan FlintJun 12, 2011

This is my first video, WrestleMania, the showcase of the Immortals, where men hunt down there dreams.

Which then were the greatest WrestleMania matches from the last 11 years. So buckle up, Chris Benoit, Triple H , Undertaker, Shawn Micheals, Stone Cold and the Rock are on this list but where.

Here, in my opinion, are the top 10.

10: Hardy Boyz vs. Dudleys vs. Edge and Christian; WrestleMania 17

1 of 11

Wow, this match was great. Back and forth and interference from Spike, Rhyno and Lita. However, Rhyno carried Christian up the ladder to get the gold. Great match that could have stole the show.

9. Shawn Micheals vs. Ric Flair; WrestleMania 24

2 of 11

Emotional matchup, from the two greatest wrestlers who ever lived. However, it was Shawn's night as Flair bowed out of the WWE on a high (then going to TNA) but still such a brilliant matchup. Shawn's final words to Ric at the end summed up the emotion.

8. The Rock vs. Hollywood Hogan; WrestleMania 18

3 of 11

This match was billed as icon vs. icon, and it didn't disappoint—a switch on face and heel also spiced things up.

Rock got the win, which in my opinion, was the right thing to do. Who can forget the staredown though...chilly.

7.Undertaker vs. Triple H; WrestleMania 17

4 of 11

What a great match this was, the better out of the two they had in my opinion. Triple H came so close, but the streak lived on. Now, he stands 19-0, with his last victim being The Game himself!

6. Edge vs. Mick Foley; WrestleMania 22

5 of 11

So entertaining and when Mick went through the table, it was classic ECW stuff. Edge got the win and went on to great things. This match solidified him as a top player and also a freaking loon. Great match!

5. Eddie Guerrero vs. Kurt Angle; WrestleMania 20

6 of 11

A great matchup and a great ending. Guerrero deserved the title and lost it too soon for my liking, but seeing as though this was one of his last times winning at WrestleMania, I think he deserves to head the top five on this list. We love you Eddie.

4. Chris Benoit vs. Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels: WrestleMania 20

7 of 11

The night that Benoit's 18-year hunt for the gold came to an end. What a night it was for him as he won the very thing that had eluded him, the world over. As Jim Ross put it, he deserves a medal for calling this match. The emotion that Benoit must have felt after winning got through to the fans.

RIP CHRIS

(ignore the angle video)

3. Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels; WrestleMania 26

8 of 11

The final two of the classic encounters. This was Michaels' last match ever, and what a way to bow out. He was truly the greatest at WrestleMania, and one last crack at the Undertaker's streak was his obsession. Undertaker prevailed again, but Michaels proved why they call him Mr. WrestleMania!

2. The Rock vs. Stone Cold; WrestleMania 17

9 of 11

What a match, what drama, what action and what a heel turn by Austin. They both put on a classic that night, and the build up was brilliant. Stone Cold won the match with help from enemy Mr. McMahon, and the Attitude era was considered over. However, this, in my opinion, was No. 2 of the past 11 years but not as good as...

1. Shawn Michaels vs. the Undertaker; WrestleMania 25

10 of 11

The greatest wrestling match of all time. End of story. This match had it all!
