Here’s a look at the unheralded fantasy baseball players who played well yesterday.

Toronto at Kansas City

Eric Hosmer went 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI. Jeff Francoeur went 1-for-3 with two RBI (40). J.P. Arencibia went 1-for-4 with two RBI (34). Luke Hochevar gave up two runs in seven innings to improve to 4-6.



Seattle at Detroit

Washington Nationals v Los Angeles Angels
New York Yankees v. Chicago Cubs

Don Kelly went 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI. Brennan Boesch went 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI (34). Brendan Ryan and Adam Kennedy each went 2-for-4. Justin Verlander dominated as usual.



Arizona at Pittsburgh

Jeff Karstens tossed 6.2 scoreless innings. Josh Collmenter, yesterday’s streaming pitcher option, tossed five scoreless innings. Neither starter factored into the decision.



Atlanta at Florida

Emilio Bonifacio went 2-for-4 with an RBI.



New York Mets at Milwaukee

Justin Turner went 2-for-5 with a run and a stolen base. Angel Pagan went 2-for-4 with a run, an RBI and a stolen base. Ruben Tejada went 2-for-4 with an RBI. Jonathon Niese gave up one run on three hits with eight strikeouts in 7.2 innings to even his record at 5-5 with a 3.51 ERA.



Oakland at Chicago White Sox

Juan Pierre went 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI. A.J. Pierzynski went 1-for-4 with two runs. Adam Dunn went 1-for-3 with two runs, a homer and two RBI. Omar Vizquel went 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI. Kurt Suzuki went 2-for-4 with two runs. Hideki Matsui went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI. David DeJesus went 2-for-4 with a run.



Texas at Minnesota

Alexi Casilla went 2-for-5 with a run and an RBI. Michael Cuddyer went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI. Delmon Young went 3-for-4 with a home run. Yorvit Torrealba went 3-for-4. Derek Holland gave up four runs in 7.1 innings, but he struck out 10.



St. Louis at Houston

Ryan Theriot went 2-for-5 with two runs and a homer. Jon Jay went 2-for-3 with a run. Lance Lynn gave up one run in five innings for the win.



Los Angeles Dodgers at Colorado

Chris Nelson went 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI. Todd Helton went 1-for-2 with two runs and an RBI. Dee Strange-Gordon went 2-for-5 with a run. Casey Blake went 1-for-5 with two runs and an RBI. Clayton Kershaw hit better than he pitched.



Chicago Cubs at Philadelphia

All of the struggling Cubs (Starlin Castro, Carlos Pena, Geovany Soto) got two hits. Tyler Colvin went 2-for-4 with a run. Raul Ibanez went 2-for-5 with a run.



Washington at San Diego

Chris Denorfia went 2-for-5 with an RBI. Chase Headley went 2-for-4 with two runs, a home run and two RBI. Ryan Ludwick went 2-for-3 with a run. Brad Hawpe went 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI. Rick Ankiel went 2-for-4. Michael Morse went 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI (34). Aaron Harang gave up two runs in six innings to improve to 7-2 with a 3.71 ERA.



Cincinnati at San Francisco

Jonny Gomes went 3-for-4 with his 26th RBI. Miguel Tejada went 2-for-4. Johnny Cueto gave up four hits with eight strikeouts in seven scoreless innings to improve to 3-2 with a 1.93 ERA. Madison Bumgarner was the hard-luck loser, giving up one run with seven strikeouts in seven innings.



Boston at New York Yankees

Jorge Posada went 2-for-4.
