TNA: Who Could Replace Mick Foley as Corporate Head on IMPACT?

Last week, Mick Foley was given his release as a parting of ways with TNA IMPACT.

Foley, who was brought in to help with creative decisions for the brand and become the "corporate" figure that would challenge Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff for control of the company, left because of creative differences.

In doing so, he has opened the door to many questions as to who will replace him in the company and the angle that had developed with his character against Immortal and other wrestlers in the organization.

Here is a look at figureheads TNA could use to help develop the new brand of wrestling

Jim Cornette

He used to look funny, dressing in a hot-pink sports coat and wielding a fuzzy covered tennis racket. But Jim Cornette knows how to develop talent and book solid matches in the wrestling circle.

Cornette has experience working with TNA before. His days with WCW and the NWA give him a leg up in trying to make sure that wrestling still matters to fans and the brand that now exists.

Jim Ross

No one in this business is respected more than Jim Ross. Having worked with most of the talent on the TNA roster would be an advantage for Ross, who works behind the scenes in WWE and sometimes on the microphone as an announcer.

Ross is no-nonsense and respects the business of wrestling for what it was and what it should be. He also has great ideas for format and growth, which is something wrestlers like Kazarian, Crimson and Matt Morgan need to carry the company.

Kevin Nash

He was a booker in WCW and has a great creative mind for the business. He is also an enforcer who would keep a level playing field.

The only issue I have with this move would be his connection to Hulk Hogan and the older days of the NWO.

But Nash as corporate head makes sense on so many levels.

Ric Flair

Woooooo! There is no one who can drum up more excitement than the Nature Boy.

He is still great on the microphone and can piss people off. Ric Flair wants to be a vital person in wrestling and at over 60 years old, he can do this by booking matches and helping to develop new talent to take the company into the next decade.

And, above all else, seeing Hogan and Flair together as partners just does not work.

Dusty Rhodes

As his colleagues once said, Dusty has one of the most fertile minds in all of wrestling. He was booker in the NWA Carolinas and had some great ideas for talent like the Great American Bash, War Games and the creation of the Midnight Rider.

Rhodes could be refreshing but has already taken a stab at TNA before in this capacity. Hopefully he could revive the heavyweights and give some life to a struggling X-Division.

Ole Anderson

The man behind the creation of The Road Warriors and the Black Scorpion, Ole is well-respected in the locker room with the newer wrestlers.

Anderson is also old-school and believes in wrestling first and everything else second. More mat-wrestling and less high-flying.

The only thing holding him back is his lack of ability to move forward and see wrestling as a show, not a science.

J. J. Dillon

He is creative and maybe the least well-known of the group. He spent time as manager of the Horsemen, but Dillon was prominent in the Carolinas and Florida before he retired from that role.

He has worked back stage as a talent agent and worked with upcoming wrestlers to perfect their craft.

He may be the best choice of them all.

Sgt. Slaughter

He can wield punishment with his crop and his scowl. Slaughter is an agent for WWE but could use his experience in the NWA and Jim Crockett's promotion to bring an older feel to the IMPACT brand.

Slaughter is also no-nonsense when it comes to politics and the Sgt. Slaughter persona would be good for IMPACT.

All the little maggots would have to agree with him on this one.

Kevin Sullivan

There is something to be said in a man who believes in the darkside and loves to impart his odd beliefs on people.

Sullivan was a booker in WCW and a great worker in the ring. He also knows the politics of wrestling as a science and work.

Sullivan does not take crap and would work as a great adversary against the likes of Hogan, Flair and Bischoff.

Arn Anderson

Still a bad man in wrestling circles, Arn works with talent in WWE but could be a great addition to TNA if the chance arises.

Anderson was as hard a competitor as there was in the business in the 1980s and 1990s. The character of Bobby Roode reminds many of a young Anderson with his mic skills and his ability to wrestle on the mat.

The addition of Anderson also means he would be reunited with his best friend Ric Flair.

Stone Cold Steve Austin

THIS WILL NEVER HAPPEN!!!  But, it would be very cool if Austin kicked a little ass in IMPACT.

Austin would be great to combat the likes of Immortal and Fortune and would be a great enforcer of the sport he helped develop today.

Could you see the likes of Mr. Anderson crossing paths with the Rattlesnake? It just would not happen.
