World Transfer Rumours: Chelsea Look Set to Break the Bank This Summer

Another day, another batch of transfer rumours fresh of the press.

Today Chelsea seems to be the team that are being linked to a number of world-class summer signings.

The Blues have been linked with a big-money move for Brazilian wonderkid Neymar.

They will have too though; spend big if they are to get their man. It is quoted that an offer of £41 million will have to be made if they are to land their man.

Neymar, 19, is one of the most talked about players on the planet, and has the ability to set the world alight.

But it remains to be seen whether or not the Premier League would be the best move for the Santos man.

Another man that Chelsea seems to be keen on bringing in is Belgian hot-shot Romelu Lukaku. The teenage prodigy looks set to leave Anderlecht this summer, after again impressing this term.

Lukaku is raw, and the question has to be, is he ready for the Premier League?

There is a big gulf in class between Belgium’s Jupiler League and the Premier League, and only time will tell.

He will also be down in the pecking order with the likes of Fernando Torres, Nicholas Anelka and Didier Drogba at the club.

Perhaps the biggest news of the day involving Roman Abramovich‘s charges is that they have stolen a march in the race for Dutch superstar Wesley Sneijder .

It looks as though he will leave Inter Milan in the summer, with the lure of the Premier League and its mega-wages calling.

It had been thought that Sneijder, 26, could be on his way to Manchester, with both City and United reportedly interested in his services.

Two other players that could join the Chelsea revolution are young Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen and Atletico Madrid’s Uruguayan defender Diego Godin.

The stories of a defensive reshuffle at Arsenal continue, and they have been linked with both Chris Samba and Gary Cahill.

Liverpool also look set to have a busy summer ahead. Today they have been linked with Barcelona fringe-player Jeffren. The 23 year old has come up through the famed La Masia academy and looks to be a very good prospect.

Sunderland look set to strengthen after receiving £20million for Jordan Henderson. It is reported that Steve Bruce is set to make a bid of over £12million for Manchester United trio Darron Gibson, John O’Shea and Wes Brown.

Newly promoted Swansea have made an ambitious move for Spanish World Cup winner Marcos Senna, he will be available on a free transfer when his contract expires with Villarreal in July.

Lazio have completed the signing of all-time leading World Cup scorer Miroslav Klose after he was released by Bayern Munich.
