WWE: Profiling Future Stars, the Finale and Newly Signed Jon Moxely
For weeks now, I have been profiling superstars from the World Wrestling Entertainment's Developmental Territory: Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW).
Today, for the finale of this series, I will be doing something slightly different. Instead of writing about a guy who has been in FCW, I will write about a man who recently signed with the WWE.
He has competed all over the independent scene, including Dragon Gate USA, CZW, Evolve and many other promotions. His name, at least formerly, is Jon Moxley.

Moxely has amazed the independent fans with feuds against many familiar names, such as Daniel Bryan (Bryan Danielson at the time.)
Moxley has succeeded in a demented character in Dragon Gate USA. His promos, like this one, have been absolutely terrific. If you have liked Cody Rhodes' stuff lately, then you'll probably enjoy Moxely's work as well.
In the ring, Moxley is unorthodox. It's power mixed with tremendous technician work. It's truly an odd blend of stuff, which will create something different for the WWE to use.
The problem could come with his look, which is similar to Daniel Bryan. However, if the WWE runs with a similar demented gimmick, it wouldn't be nearly as big of an issue.
Although if Moxley is put in a gimmick similar to Bryan, he will be doomed.
Now, what do I see the WWE doing with the man now known as Dean Ambrose?
Well, I've heard a reason why they signed him was to make up for the loss of CM Punk. And allow me to say those are big shoes to fill, but if he is in the same league as Punk, he'll be a keeper for sure.
Ambrose could indeed step into Punk's role on Raw, if Punk does indeed bolt (for a while at least) in September. That would give him a couple of months to get himself adjusted to the "WWE Style." As we know, that's a difficult task—just take a look at Sin Cara's troubles of adjusting.
However, if Punk doesn't leave, it's obviously a win for everyone!
The issue with moving to SmackDown, in my opinion, is if the WWE does give Ambrose a demented gimmick; then you'll basically have three of that type: Ambrose, Rhodes and Kane. Of course, Moxely would be different, but there would the same feeling to the character.
As far as feuds go, a program with CM Punk would be something I would wait with great anticipation to see. The promos would be awesome, and the matches would reek of an independent style.
Cody Rhodes would be another jewel, although the gimmicks would have to be different enough for average fans to see the distinctions.
The problem with feuds with either Punk or Rhodes, would be all three excel as heels. One thing is for sure: It'd bring limitless entertainment.
So, what do you think of Dean Ambrose? Will he succeed in the WWE? Or is he simply not a WWE guy?
