Here’s a look at the unheralded fantasy baseball players who played well yesterday.

Oakland at Baltimore

Luke Scott went 2-for-3 with a home run. Chris Jakubauskas gave up three hits with five strikeouts in five scoreless innings for the win.

New York Yankees v. Chicago Cubs

Carlos Carrasco gave up three hits with six strikeouts in 8.1 scoreless innings to improve to 5-3 with a 4.52 ERA.



Los Angeles Dodgers at Philadelphia

Dee Gordon went 3-for-5 with a run and a stolen base in his major league debut. Wilson Valdez, who will be filling in for the injured Jimmy Rollins, went 2-for-4. Rubby De La Rosa gave up one run over five innings for the win.



Arizona at Pittsburgh

Lyle Overbay went 1-for-4 with three RBI (25). Ronny Cedeno went 2-for-4 with an RBI. Juan Miranda went 4-for-4 with an RBI. Daniel Hudson gave up three runs on three hits with seven strikeouts in seven innings but got a no-decision.



Atlanta at Florida

John Buck went 2-for-4. Brad Hand gave up one run on one hit with six strikeouts in six innings but took the loss.



Boston at New York Yankees

Jorge Posada went 3-for-3 with a run and an RBI. Nick Swisher went 2-for-4 with two RBI.



Chicago Cubs at Cincinnati

Miguel Cairo went 2-for-4 with a grand slam. Darwin Barney went 3-for-4 to raise his average to .309. Edinson Volquez gave up one run with five strikeouts in seven innings to improve to 4-2.



Seattle at Chicago White Sox

Brent Morel went 2-for-3 with a run. Franklin Gutierrez went 2-for-4. Carlos Peguero went 2-for-3. Philip Humber, yesterday’s streaming pitcher option, gave up one run on five hits with five strikeouts in 7.2 innings to improve to 5-3 with a 2.87 ERA.



Toronto at Kansas City

J.P. Arencibia went 1-for-4 with his 10th home run and two RBI (32). Jayson Nix went 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI. Melky Cabrera went 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI. Eric Hosmer went 2-for-4 with two runs. Jeff Francoeur went 2-for-5 with three RBI (38). Alcides Escobar went 2-for-4 with a stolen base.



New York Mets at Milwaukee

Ruben Tejada went 2-for-4. Yuniesky Betancourt went 2-for-3. Jonathan Lucroy went 2-for-4. Chris Capuano gave up one run with five strikeouts in six innings for the win.



Detroit at Texas

Austin Jackson went 3-for-6 with a run and three RBI. Casper Wells went 3-for-6 with a run and an RBI. Brennan Boesch went 2-for-4. Ryan Raburn went 2-for-4 with a run and two RBI. David Murphy went 3-for-4. Rick Porcello gave up one run over six innings to improve to 6-3 with a 3.58 ERA.



St. Louis at Houston

Skip Schumaker went 2-for-4 with a run. Daniel Descalso went 1-for-3 with two runs. Chris Johnson went 2-for-4 with an RBI.



Colorado at San Diego

Tim Stauffer gave up four hits with eight strikeouts in eight scoreless innings to improve to 2-4 with a 3.58 ERA. He even picked up a couple of hits and an RBI. Ubaldo Jimenez pitched well again but was the victim of poor run support. Seth Smith went 2-for-4.



Tampa Bay at Los Angeles Angels

Johnny Damon went 3-for-5 with a run and an RBI (32). Casey Kotchman went 3-for-4 with a run to raise his average to .351. John Jaso went 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI. Alex Cobb gave up one run in 6.1 innings for the win.



Washington at San Francisco

Wilson Ramos went 2-for-4. Jordan Zimmermann gave up one run on five hits over seven innings to improve to 4-6 with a 3.39 ERA.
