Abou Diaby and Alexander Song Can Be Arsenal's Next Patrick Viera

Since losing their tremendous French captain Patrick Viera in 2005, Arsenal are yet to win another trophy.

Arsenal need a new Patrick Viera and they can mould the likes of Cameroon international Alexander Song and French international Abou Diaby.

Both players are in the style of Patrick Viera and both have solid strength, safe passing and are young reliable midfielders both making their debuts for Arsenal as teenagers with big futures.

Abou Diaby is very much like Viera, not only in nationality but in his style of play he is very solid defensively and has good vision. He also has great strength and I can definitely see Abou as a future French and Arsenal captain in a few years. 

Thanks to Arsene Wenger, Diaby is much stronger with his left foot. Last year when he was playing on the left he would always attack the ball with his right rather than his left but now he is very strong with both and he showed that in Arsenal's recent Champions League match against Turkish side Fenerbache where Abou was outstanding and scored a great left footed goal.

Abou no doubt has the ability to be a great midfielder but he can be very injury prone, he needs to stay injury free this season and have a strong year for Arsenal.

Cameroon international Alexander Song is a strong and talented defensive midfielder at 20 years old. He can be very good in defence and often plays in the central defence but I see him as a midfielder where he is more suited. Alexander has good, quick feet and a safe and reliable pass while he also is equipped with a solid header and boot. Arsene is moulding him into the next Viera which I can see him becoming as he is a very talented midfielder.

Alexander Song was phenomanal for Cameroon in the African Nations Cup, he displays were excellent in defence and attack and was pivotal in Cameroon's midfield. As a result of his strong displays he made the African Nations cup best XI team which shows what a fine midfielder he has become.

If Arsenal can created another Viera-like player, they can be like the team they were in 2003/2004.
