2011 Fantasy Baseball Free Agent Pool: Speed Demons, Vol. 5

Just because you’ve slipped behind in the stolen base category doesn’t mean you can’t catch up. Here are some reasonably available stolen base options:

Alex Casilla, Minnesota Twins

Casilla had five stolen bases over the past 15 days while hitting .396 with nine runs and five RBI. On the year, he’s hitting .255 wtih 22 runs, nine RBI and eight stolen bases.

Casilla is owned in eight percent of Yahoo! and 14.9 percent of ESPN leagues.

Peter Bourjos, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim

Bourjos had four stolen bases over the past 15 days while hitting .240 with five runs, a home run and three RBI. On the year, he’s hitting .241 with 27 runs, three home runs, 13 RBI and eight stolen bases.

Bourjos is owned in 17 percent of Yahoo! and 6.4 percent of ESPN leagues.

Andres Torres, San Francisco Giants

Torres had four stolen bases over the past 15 days while hitting .263 with nine runs, a home run and nine RBI. On the year, he’s hitting .264 with 19 runs, two home runs, 12 RBI and seven stolen bases.

Torres is owned in 31 percent of Yahoo! and 48.7 percent of ESPN leagues.

Roger Bernadina, Washington Nationals

Bernadina had three stolen bases over the past 15 days while hitting .255 with nine runs and three stolen bases. On the year, he’s hitting .255 with 14 runs, one home run, eight RBI and seven stolen bases.

Bernadina is owned in about one percent of fantasy leagues.

Austin Jackson, Detroit Tigers

Jackson had three stolen bases over the past 15 days while hitting .304 with 10 runs and an RBI. On the year, he’s hitting .240 with 29 runs, three home runs, 14 RBI and nine stolen bases.

Jackson is owned in about 33 percent of fantasy leagues.

Xavier Paul, Pittsburgh Pirates

Paul had three stolen bases over the past 15 days while hitting .409 with five runs and three RBI. On the year, he’s hitting .304 with 11 runs, six RBI and six stolen bases.

Paul is owned in about one third of fantasy leagues.

Eric Young, Jr., Colorado Rockies

Young has three stolen bases since debuting on May 27 with three runs and three RBI. With Dexter Fowler on the DL, Young could see fairly steady playing time.

He’s owned in about six percent of fantasy leagues.
