MLB Fantasy Baseball Box Score Breakouts: 6/2/11
Here’s a look at the unheralded fantasy baseball players who played well yesterday.
Pittsburgh at New York Mets
Ruben Tejada went 1-for-three with a run and three RBI. Xavier Paul went 4-for-5 with three runs, an RBI and two stolen bases.
Texas at Cleveland
Mitch Moreland went 2-for-3 with a run. Endy Chavez went 4-for-4 with two runs, an RBI and a stolen base.
Minnesota at Kansas City
Denard Span went 2-for-5 with a run and an RBI. Michael Cuddyer went 1-for-5 with two RBI. Delmon Young went 1-for-4 with two runs. Matt Tolbert went 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI. Alex Gordon went 2-for-5. Jeff Francouer went 3-for-4 with two RBI (34). Anthony Swarzak gave up two runs in six innings for the win.
San Francisco at St. Louis
Andres Torres went 3-for-5 with three runs and two RBI. Freddy Sanchez went 1-for-5 with two runs, a home run and four RBI. The real story was Aubrey Huff, who went 4-for-5 with three home runs and six RBI. Allen Craig went two for three with two runs and an RBI.
Washington at Arizona
Michael Morse continued to rake going four for five with two runs and two RBI (26) to raise his average to .319. Danny Espinosa went two for five with a run. He’s been swinging a good stick lately as well. Wilson Ramos went one for five with three RBI. Gerardo Parra went two for four with an RBI. Jordan Zimmermann gave up one run over seven innings to improve to 3-6 with a 3.61 ERA.
Tampa Bay at Seattle
Jack Cust went 1-for-2 with two runs and a homer. Adam Kennedy went 3-for-4 with a run and an RBI. Carlos Peguero went 2-for-4 with a pair of home runs and four RBI.
Houston at San Diego
Jeff Keppinger went 1-for-4 with two runs. Brett Wallace went 2-for-4 with an RBI to raise his average to .320. Chris Johnson went 2-for-4 with two runs, a home run and two RBI (27).
