Adam Jones Video: Watch Orioles Center Fielder's Fantastic Grab
There's an Adam Jones video making the rounds today, after the Baltimore Orioles center fielder made a fantastic grab against the Seattle Mariners on Wednesday night.
Jones was manning center field in the bottom of the fourth inning at Safeco Field in Seattle on Wednesday night, when Mariners catcher Miguel Olivo got hold of a fastball from Orioles pitcher Brian Matusz.
Olivo hit a bomb into dead center field and forced Jones to kick in the afterburners. He sped towards the ball and made a stellar catch, reminiscent of some of Willie Mays' best work playing center field for the Giants.

But Jones wasn't done yet.
The wall was coming up fast and Jones had to move quickly. He jumped and stuck his leg into the wall, planting and pushing off perfectly, and delivering one of the best catches of the year thus far.
It was a beautiful grab from a player who is making quite a name for himself wrangling hits like these, but Jones still wasn't done.
After all, he had a game to win. So, the 25-year-old center fielder went out and launched the game-winning solo home run in the eighth inning, his seventh of the season, giving the Orioles a 2-1 win.
This loss probably stung a bit more than most for the Mariners, because Jones is a former Mariner. He was one of baseball's top prospects, a true five-tool player capable of making a big impact in the majors, but that didn't stop Seattle from shipping him to Baltimore just as he was ready to play in the big leagues.
Given the state of the Mariners' outfield (when did Michael Saunders forget how to hit?) something tells me they're regretting that trade now more than ever.
