How Your Voting Will Affect Jericho Vs. Batista at Cyber Sunday
Well, the time has come where the possible outcomes of some really big matches are (supposedly) decided by us, the viewers and WWE Fans. But the question is; what will each candidate bring to the match which will make it worthwhile and interesting? Let's jump right in.
From audience reaction during WWE Raw and Smackdown, most fans cheer loudest for the Texas Rattlesnake, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. From his past experience as a Special Guest Referee, he could care less about the rules and will ultimately choose in favor of the person who doesn't start with him.
In this case, expect Austin to favor Batista, while Jericho tries to throw his ego and weight around and demand things of Stone Cold. It will hopefully be a pretty straight forward and even match throughout, until Jericho finally pushes Stone Cold too far and gets Stunned for it.

Now, in my opinion, having Steve Austin as the special ref, while nice because we get to see Stone Cold again, is far too predictable and boring for this match. Stone Cold always makes for great entertainment, but again, in my opinion, he doesn't bring the big question of "Who would actually win this match?!" In fact, by voting him in you effectively give the title to Batista on a silver platter, and if you're going to be buying Cyber Sunday - you're effectively robbing yourself of a fun World Title Match. If you're that nostalgic for some of the Toughest S.O.B. and plenty of "What?" then i suggest you tune in to some WWE 24/7 on Demand.
The next option for Special Guest Referee, and of course the much more interesting special guest referee - Chris Jericho's arch nemesis and legendary superstar Shawn Michaels. This option is obviously much more interesting as he's come out with a giant bias towards Chris Jericho, and has said that he wants nothing more than to destroy Chris Jericho and give the title to Batista.
There are 2 ways this could play out. Either exactly as HBK says, or he could do a complete 180 and superkick Batista in the face. I don't see that option as likely other than for one helluva shock to the WWE world. Lets face it, I don't rule anything out in WWE anymore because half of the time logic seems to elude the creative team, but having HBK help Chris Jericho hold on to the title seems a little out there even for them. It seems like the Jericho and HBK feud has peaked at the ladder match at the last PPV, and continuing it really seems to be like them beating a dead horse. If HBK wins the vote, expect him to be true to his word and help Batista destroy Jericho.
The final choice for Special Guest Referee is Randy Orton, and his character has been actually begging not to be involved. I think this could be the most interesting choice for Special Guest Referee, because he has a stake in who wins this match regardless. Randy Orton is biding his time in the wings before jumping back in to the title picture, as well as slowly forming a stable which looks like it could rival Evolution. Orton is set to take over soon, and the interesting thing would be to see if he tries to win over a title shot from Jericho by knocking out his former Evolution partner, or if he helps Batista in order to incorporate him into a possible Re-Evolution scenario.
There's no solid way for Orton to go, and that's what i find really exciting about his involvement in this match. He could go either way, and either way would make for an incredible angle for his return to the ring and to the title picture.
If i had to make a choice, my vote and recommendation would be for Randy Orton. He's a great heel, and could have some incredible matches with either Jericho or Batista, he isn't leaning in any specific direction, and he will make for some exciting TV in the weeks to follow Cyber Sunday. Shawn Michaels and Stone Cold would be too predictable and if i'm going to plop down $40 for Cyber Sunday I want to see a title match which will keep me excited and will set up even more incredible matches for the future.
