Here’s a look at the unheralded fantasy baseball players who played well yesterday.



Arizona at Colorado (Game 1)

Dexter Fowler went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. Seth Smith went 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBI. Chris Iannetta went 2-for-4 with two runs. Ryan Roberts went 2-for-4 with a run. Melvin Mora went 2-for-4 with two RBI.

Kansas City at Baltimore

J.J. Hardy went 2-for-3 with a run. Alex Gordon went 2-for-5 with two runs and a homer. Melky Cabrera went 2-for-5. Jeff Francoeur went 2-for-5 with a run, an RBI and a stolen base.



Boston at Cleveland

Jason Varitek went 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBI. Travis Buck went 2-for-4 with two runs and a homer. Matt LaPorta went 2-for-4. Josh Beckett returned from his muscle spasm to shut down one of the league’s top offenses.



Tampa Bay at Detroit

Don Kelly went 2-for-3 with a run. Jhonny Peralta went 1-for-3 with two runs. Alex Avila went 2-for-4 with two home runs and three RBI. Scott Sizemore went 2-for-3. Johnny Damon went 2-for-5 with a run. Matt Joyce went 3-for-5 with two runs, a home run (eight) and two RBI (26) to raise his average to .367. Sean Rodriguez went 2-for-4 with a run.



Toronto at New York Yankees

Russell Martin went 2-for-4 with a home run (nine) and two RBI (26). Juan Rivera went 2-for-4 with a run. Ricky Romero gave up one run in seven innings but got a no-decision.



Cincinnati at Philadelphia

Scott Rolen went 2-for-5 with a run and an RBI. Raul Ibanez went 3-for-4 with two runs and an RBI (21). Carlos Ruiz went 2-for-3 with an RBI.



Atlanta at Pittsburgh

Alex Gonzalez went 3-for-4 with a run. Jair Jurrjens tossed seven shutout innings to improve to 6-1 with a 1.56 ERA. Jose Tabata went 2-for-4. Chris Snyder went 2-for-3. Charlie Morton gave up two runs in seven innings but took the loss.



Seattle at Minnesota

Nick Blackburn, yesterday’s streaming pitcher option, gave up two runs with six strikeouts in a complete game to improve to 4-4 with a 3.20 ERA. Denard Span went 3-for-4 with a run and an RBI to raise his average to .301. Alexi Casilla went 2-for-3 with two runs. Miguel Olivo went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI.



Los Angeles Dodgers at Houston

Jerry Sands went 1-for-4 with a grand slam.



New York Mets at Chicago Cubs

Darwin Barney went 2-for-5 with a run and two RBI to raise his average to .318. Luis Montanez went 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI. Koyie Hill went 1-for-3 with three runs and an RBI. Ronny Paulino went 2-for-4. Ruben Tejada went 2-for-4 with a run. Ryan Dempster gave up one run with five strikeouts in seven innings for the win.



Arizona at Colorado (Game 2)

Kelly Johnson went 2-for-3 with three runs, a home run and two RBI. Joe Saunders gave up two runs on six hits in eight innings for the win.



Washington at Milwaukee

Corey Hart wasn’t done with his home run barrage. He went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI. Jonathan Lucroy went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI (22) to raise his average to .333. Ian Desmond went 2-for-5 with a run, an RBI and a stolen base (15). Michael Morse went 3-for-5 with two runs and a grand slam.



Oakland at Los Angeles Angels

Josh Willingham went 1-for-4 with two RBI (28). Kurt Suzuki went 2-for-4 with two runs. David DeJesus went 3-for-4 with two home runs and four RBI. Guillermo Moscoso gave up three hits in six scoreless innings for his first career win.



St. Louis at San Diego

Daniel Descalso went 3-for-5 with a run, an RBI and a stolen base. Kyle McClellan gave up two unearned runs on two hits in six innings to lower his ERA to 3.11, but he did not factor into the decision. Neither did Aaron Harang, who gave up two runs with seven strikeouts in seven innings.



Florida at San Francisco

Chris Coghlan went 1-for-4 with two runs. Gaby Sanchez went 3-for-4 with three RBI (30) to raise his average to .326. Omar Infante went 3-for-3. Andres Torres and Cody Ross each went 2-for-3. Ricky Nolasco gave up one run with five strikeouts in 8.1 innings to improve to 4-0 with a 3.04 ERA.



Chicago White Sox at Texas

Carlos Quentin hit three home runs. Alex Rios had a pair of hits, and Adam Dunn went deep. Mitch Moreland went 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI.
