10 Worst Mets Games in 2008
The Mets were destined to be a playoff team this year, but they, as we all know by now, fell just short. In a future article, I'll give the top 10 best Mets games this year, but for now, we have:

10 Scorching MLB Takes 🌶️

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
In this game, the Mets kept it tied at 1 run until the bottom of the 10th, when Pedro Feliciano came in and promptly served up a walk off home run to Padres hitter Scott Hairston. This loss also put the Mets under .500.
9. July 18th at Cincinatti Reds
In this game, the Mets lose 5-2, ending the momentum they gained from keeping up a ten-game winning streak.
7. July 26th vs. St. Louis Cardinals
This was an excruciating game for Mets fans. The Amazin's managed to push it into the fourteenth inning clinging onto an 8-8 tie, but in the top of the fourteenth, Albert Pujols hit a 2-run home run. The Mets were unable to come back from this deficit. Skip Schumaker of the Cardinals also had 6 hits in this game. I was in the stands for this game.
6. June 2nd at San Francisco Giants
In this game, Mets starter Oliver Perez recorded only 1 out, giving up 5 hits and 6 earned runs in that time. Overall, it was an embarrassing loss to a poor playing team.
5. June 27th-2nd game of doubleheader- vs. New York Yankees
In this game, the hated crosstown Yankees beat up on the Mets 9-0. This is another game that put the Mets one game below .500, but besides that, it's the Yankees they lost to! What can be more embarrassing than that?
4. September 22nd vs. Chicago Cubs
Losing 9-5 against the Cubs, with Cubs starter and NY native Jason Marquis hitting a grand slam off of you in a crucial game is much more embarrassing than that. I was in the stands this day as well, and I can tell you, it wasn't a very fun game to be at.
3. April 30th vs. Pittsburgh Pirates
In this game, the Pirates slaughtered the Mets 13-1, taking advantage of 3 Mets errors and 7 BB by Mets pitching that day. It's always terrible to lose to a team that bad by that many runs.
2. June 23rd vs. Seattle Mariners
This was another game where an opposing starting pitcher hit a grand slam, but this time around, the pitcher was AL pitcher Felix Hernandez, the team was the Mariners, and the Mets lost 11-0.
And the Worst New York Mets Game in 2008...
1. September 28th vs. Florida Marlins
In this game, we know what happened. Last game at Shea, and the Mets blew it. Also, this is the third game on this list that I attended (I was also at #'s 7 and 4 on this list). I guess that's just my luck.
