Week 7 Fantasy Game of the Week
Peyton Manning and the seventh ranked passing attack look to have their second consecutive good game against a Green Bay pass defense that ranks 14th in the league and has allowed nine touchdown throws in six games. Regardless of the health of Joseph Addai, the Colts still should be able to run the ball even if Dominic Rhodes has to play, as the Broncos have also been brutal against the run, ranking 25th in the league allowing over 160 yards per game. Reggie Wayne, Marvin Harrison, and Anthony Gonzalez are all good plays at wide receiver for the Colts, and although to a lesser extent tight end Dallas Clark against the average Packers’ defense. They are all good bets to potentially find the end zone.
Aaron Rodgers is quickly helping the Cheeseheads in Green Bay forget that Favre guy, as he is leading the eighth best team throwing the ball. He is among the league leaders in touchdown passes, but could have a hard time against a Colts’ pass defense that is ranked fourth, and has only allowed one aerial touchdown all season. Outside of Greg Jennings, the rest of the Packers’ receivers don’t look like good plays this week if you have comparable options. If Ryan Grant is ever going to turn his season around, this is the week. The Colts run defense is ranked last in the league on the ground, allowing over 180 yards a game and has averaged giving up one touchdown on the ground per game.
