Pittsburgh at Cincinnati
Ryan Doumit went 2-for-5 with a home run to raise his average to .286. Andrew McCutchen continued to get back on track. Jay Bruce returned in a big way with a pair of home runs among his three hits. James McDonald gave up one run in 6.2 innings for the win.

Washington at New York Mets
Dillon Gee gave up two hits in 7.2 scoreless innings to improve to 3-0 with a 3.64 ERA. Livan Hernandez gave up one run with seven strikeouts in seven innings but lost this pitchers’ duel. Jason Bay went 3-for-4, and Ruben Tejada went 2-for-3.
Houston at St. Louis
Allen Craig went 3-for-4 with two runs and a homer to raise his average to .288. Gerald Laird went 1-for-4 with two RBI. Humberto Quintero went 2-for-3 with a run. Kyle McClellan gave up two runs on five hits with five strikeouts to improve to 6-1 with a 3.43 ERA. J.A. Happ gave up three runs on four hits with eight strikeouts in six innings but took the loss. Fernando Salas nailed down the save.
Los Angeles Angels at Seattle
Doug Fister and Dan Haren each allowed one run over eight innings but did not factor into the decision. Howie Kendrick went 3-for-4 with a home run.
Minnesota at Oakland
Trevor Plouffe went 1-for-5 with a home run and three RBI. Justin Morneau went 3-for-5 with two runs, a home run and two RBI. Michael Cuddyer went 3-for-4 with a run and an RBI. Danny Valencia went 2-for-5 with a run and an RBI (20). Rene Rivera went 2-for-4 with a home run. Nick Blackburn gave up one run on five hits over seven innings to improve to 3-4 with a 3.40 ERA.
Colorado at Philadelphia
Jason Giambi smashed three home runs with seven RBI. Jonathan Herrera went 2-for-5. Seth Smith went 3-for-4. Jose Lopez went 4-for-5. Placido Polanco went 2-for-4 with a run to raise his average to .335. Raul Ibanez went 2-for-4 with an RBI (17). Jhoulys Chacin gave up one run on four hits with nine strikeouts to improve to 5-2 with a 2.70 ERA.
Tampa Bay at Toronto
Juan Rivera went 2-for-3 with two runs and a homer. J.P. Arencibia went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI. Ricky Romero gave up one run on three hits with six strikeouts to improve to 4-4 with a 3.10 ERA.
Chicago Cubs at Florida
Marlon Byrd went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI to raise his average to .312. Logan Morrison went 2-for-4 to raise his average to .316. John Buck went 2-for-2. Casey Coleman gave up four hits with seven strikeouts in 5.2 scoreless innings for the win.
New York Yankees at Baltimore
Russell Martin went 2-for-4 with a run. Nick Swisher went 2-for-4 with a run and four RBI. Brett Gardner went 2-for-5 with two runs and an RBI. Robert Andino went 2-for-5. CC Sabathia tossed a gem.
Detroit at Boston
J.D. Drew went 1-for-2 with a home run and two RBI. Austin Jackson went 2-for-5. Alex Avila and Brandon Inge each went 2-for-4.
Cleveland at Chicago White Sox
Juan Pierre went 2-for-5 with two runs. Matt LaPorta went 2-for-3 with a home run. Gavin Floyd gave up one run on five hits to improve to 5-3 with a 3.88 ERA.
Texas at Kansas City
Melky Cabrera and Eric Hosmer each went 3-for-5 with a run. Jeff Francoeur went 3-for-5 with an RBI (27). Chris Davis went 2-for-4 with a home run. Luke Hochevar gave up one run in 8.2 innings. Derek Holland gave up one run with five strikeouts in eight innings. Neither starter factored into the decision.
Atlanta at Arizona
Juan Miranda went 3-for-4 with an RBI. Freddie Freeman went 3-for-4. Josh Collmenter gave up two hits in six scoreless innings to improve to 3-0 with a 0.69 ERA. Jair Jurrjens pitched well but took his first loss of the year.
Milwaukee at San Diego
Ryan Ludwick went 2-for-4. Aaron Harang threw eight scoreless innings to lower his ERA to 4.31. Chris Narveson pitched 7.1 scoreless innings to lower his ERA to 3.44. Neither starter factored into the decision.
San Francisco at Los Angeles Dodgers
Madison Bumgarner, yesterday’s streaming pitcher option, gave up one run on six hits in 8.2 innings for his first win of the year. Freddy Sanchez went 1-for-4 with two RBI. Miguel Tejada went 2-for-4 with a run. Juan Uribe went 2-for-4.
