WWE Over The Limit: 5 Ways John Cena Can Get Revenge on The Miz For Pipe Attack
WWE Champion John Cena was on the receiving end of a lead pipe attack at the hands of Alex Riley and The Miz. The Miz hoped to gain an upper hand on his opponent right before their "I Quit" match at Over the Limit. Despite the fact that Cena fought off the assault in the end, there will likely be some pains felt by the champ come Sunday.
Cena has been in three "I Quit" matches and has won all three of them. In order to retain and claim win number four, Cena will need to think outside of the box, much like any other "I Quit" match that Cena has competed in. We are almost guaranteed to see a new and different way to inflict pain on your opponent in this WWE Championship match.
What should Cena do? How could Cena cause harm to The Miz and force those two special words to come out from The Awesome One's mouth? Here are five suggestions, none of which should probably be taken seriously.
1) Duct Tape
1 of 5
Cena used duct tape in a pretty effective way against Batista in a Last Man Standing match. He wrapped The Animal's legs together around the ringpost, making him unable to stand for the ten count. In an "I Quit" match, however, it would have to be used in another way.
What would happen if Alex Riley was duct taped to something and all that The Miz would need to do in order to ensure his safety is to quit? What about if The Miz gets duct taped like Batista was and Cena locks in a submission hold? How could The Miz ever survive and refuse to quit?
2) Handcuffs
2 of 5
Cena has already used these to win an "I Quit" match before. They were inroduced into the match by Randy Orton, only to have Cena get the key and lock the other cuff onto Orton. Eventually, it would be Orton's own arm that was choking him out and forced him to say the two words.
No "I Quit" match has ever had the same ending twice, outside of the words said, that is. Cena will not use these in the same way, but they are a useful weapon. How else could you ensure keeping Riley and Miz together to enjoy pain alongside one another? An attempt at quitting would otherwise be thwarted by Riley, but if the two are in the same pain then there is seldom much that RIley could do to help The Miz.
3) Gun

This would be something new.
WWE has already angered GLAAD, parents who did not like seeing Nexus destroy RAW on their debut, and recently had R-Truth smoke inside the arena. Why not piss off the gun control people while we are at it?
Cena could even use the gun to help promote a movie or something. If you really want to make everyone happy, you could have The Miz quit in fear and have Cena squirt water out of it.
4) His Old Chain
4 of 5
Complete the throwback to the old John Cena "Thugonomics" version by bringing back the old chain with a padlock on it. It easily turns into a weapon or a choking device.
While we are at it, the old brass knucks that Cena has in this picture would be good too. Imagine seeing the words "Word Life" imprinted on The Miz's cheeks? Cena can get that many more fans if he simply reverts to his old ways. Heel turn optional, but preferred.
5) Lots of Folding Chairs
5 of 5
Just ask Wade Barrett about this one.
It was at TLC in December that Cena destroyed Barrett and then pulled down a whole mess of chairs upon Barrett and a board that was covering him at the time. Chair shots to the head are outlawed, but I would be remiss to think that chairs will not be seen in this match. If anyone knows how to work a chair and isn't named Edge or Christian, they are probably named John Cena.
Okay, so that might be a little much, but Cena does use his fair share of sitting furniture on people's bodies to inflict pain.
