WWE Over the Limit Preview and Predictions
This is the lead in week to the PPV WWE Over the Limit. A few of the matches are feuds that are not new by any means while a few matches are a refreshing change of pace from the usual main events we see.
This Sunday we have five matches that we know of, but chances are good more will be announced on Raw or Smackdown.
The WWE Title is up between John Cena and The Miz who have been in a feud for the better part of the last year, and even before that to an extent.
Miz has risen from someone who Cena beat in just a few minutes to someone who has given the top stars a run for their money in the ring.
The World Championship is being fought over by Christian and Randy Orton. Orton and Christian have very little history so seeing what they can do in the ring together will be interesting. We know Orton and Edge had good chemistry and Christian and Orton had a great tag team match as partners this past week.
The King is facing off against Michael Cole in what will be their final showdown most likely. they have faced off at a couple PPVs at this point trading victories so we will see how WWE management decides to handle this encounter.
Wade Barrett will be Facing Ezekial Jackson for the IC title as well. These two former team mates are now at odds and I am looking forward to seeing who gets cheered more by the fans and who comes out the champion.
R-truth is also said to be facing Rey Mysterio although nothing has been officially announced yet.
Ezekial Jackson vs Wade Barrett
1 of 6
Ezekial Jackson is a powerhouse the likes of which WWE has not seen in quite some time. While guys like John Cena and Kane can slam Khali and Mark Henry on occasion, Ezekial Jackson has made a habit out of body slamming, suplexing and closelining Big Show week in and week out.
Wade Barrett is the mastermind behind the original Nexus and Corre groups. He has shown he is an intelligent heel who will throw anyone under the bus to come out on top.
These two facing off is somewhat of a gamble because neither man is really an established baby face but Jackson will probably fall into that role by default since he got attacked by Corre.
I am predicting Jackson comes away the winner and the new Champion based on how hard he has been pushed as an unstoppable powerhouse as well as the fact that we have seen the Corre slowly self destruct in recent weeks.
Michael Cole vs Jerry Lawler
2 of 6
I am not going to spend a whole lot of time going over this one because frankly I don't think this feud should have a third spot on a PPV. It's not getting over any new stars and it is taking time away form people whom the WWE could be building through PPV exposure. This feud should have its matches on Raw in my opinion. While I am a big fan of the King I think his Wrestlemania match was enough PPV time taken up.
I think King will win. End of story.
Rey Mysterio vs R-Truth
3 of 6
While this match is not set in stone I am pretty sure it is happening.
R-Truth has had a great heel turn so far and a PPV win over a guy like Mysterio could really help push him to the next level.
Mysterio is coming off a great feud with Cody Rhodes on SmackDown. He was originally going to face Morrison but with his recent injury it now looks like R-Truth is set to face Mysterio.
I see Truth getting the win simply because he needs it more at this point than Mysterio does.
John Cena vs the Miz
4 of 6
This match is one in a long line of matches these two have had over the last year or so, but that's what happens with Cena: he fights one or two guys a year over and over.
Miz has really stepped up his game in the last year and has proven himself worthy of being a champion. He has improved both on the mic and in the ring which is all anyone can really ask for, plus he does more media than most people could handle.
Cena just became champion again so I don't see WWE taking the belt from him just yet. I see Cena retaining after another blunder by Riley.
Christian vs Randy Orton
5 of 6
Orton shocked many WWE fans by defeating Christian just six days after he won his first World Title. Is this the end for Christian?
No, not by any means.
He gave a great performance in his match with Orton and I see WWE capitalizing on the outcry of fans by giving him another crack at the World Title.
Will he win it again this Sunday, probably not.
I see Orton being champion for a little while since he just got to Smackdown and WWE is basing the entire show around him.
Orton comes away the winner with either Christian turning heel or the two having one of those hand shakes in the middle of the ring after the match, but I hope Christian turns heel because he is a great heel.
Other Predictions
6 of 6
Kharma will continue to attack Divas whether it be in a match or backstage segment this Sunday.
Jack Swagger may finally turn on Cole and become a babyface.
Cody Rhodes will do something involving a paper bag.
Riley could finally turn babyface by turning on the Miz.
Big Show and Kane may end up with a thrown together match. Ryder and Hawkins reunited this week so we could see the Broski Brothers challenge for the titles in a match that makes no sense at all.
Khalis new friend will push him to become a heel and they will possibly challenge for the tag titles or interfere in a match.
Thats all folks, what are your predictions for Sunday?
