Kansas City Chiefs: Top 10 Chiefs Touchdowns (With Video)
With the NFL lockout still in full effect, I decided to take a break from some of the current issues and examine the best touchdown videos for the Chiefs on the net.
Everything from an amazing interception return for a TD to a reverse flea-flicker can been seen in this piece.
I took into account the past 10 years of Chiefs YouTube videos that are available in order to compile this list.
Enjoy.
10. 2010: Dwayne Bowe 75-yard TD reception vs. Titans
1 of 10In one of the longest TD passes in Chiefs history, Matt Cassel and Dwayne Bowe made it look very easy in this play.
Cassel hit Bowe over the middle and the Chiefs star wideout proceeded to outrun four Titans defenders on his way to the end zone, some 75 yards later.
Everything about this play was great, from the pin-point accuracy of Cassel's pass, to Bowe's speed and strength, which makes it such an amazing touchdown overall.
9. 2010: Eric Berry 54-yard interception return TD vs. Titans
2 of 10Eric Berry definitely made it exciting for his the first TD in his NFL career.
He picked off an under-thrown pass by Tennessee QB Kerry Collins and went the distance as he eluded several Titans defenders on the way.
Berry, who is second all-time in NCAA history for interception return yards in career, showed why in this ridiculous touchdown return.
8. 2007: Dwayne Bowe 16-yard TD reception vs. Bears
3 of 10Although this was Pro Bowl WR Dwayne Bowe's first TD catch in the NFL, it wasn't originally intended for him.
The pass, thrown by former Chiefs QB Damon Huard, was supposed to go future Hall of Fame TE Tony Gonzalez, but somehow Bowe took it away from him.
It was a great catch, and if anything, it showed the Chiefs a glimpse of the type of catches that Bowe is capable of making throughout his career.
7. 2010: Dexter McCluster's 94-yard punt return TD vs. Chargers
4 of 10In the longest punt return TD in Chiefs history, Dexter McCluster takes the cake for this amazing return again the Chargers in Week 1 of the '10 season.
He shows off his quickness and blazing speed while getting by the entire San Diego special teams unit in this exciting play.
It was also the first TD in McCluster's career, and hopefully it is one of many for him as a Chief.
6. 2009: Jamaal Charles 97-yard kickoff return TD vs. Steelers
5 of 10Chiefs Pro Bowl RB Jamaal Charles made the Steelers' special teams look like they were going in slow motion in this touchdown from the 2009 season.
Charles, not known for his returning skills, used his raw speed to escape wannabe Pittsburgh tacklers in a mad dash to the end-zone.
Although Charles might never return a kick again for KC, at least he can say he has one of the most memorable returns in franchise history to date.
5. 2009: Jamaal Charles 56-yard TD run vs. Broncos
6 of 10Jamaal Charles displays great speed and toughness in this huge touchdown run against Denver from a couple seasons ago.
After getting into the open field, Charles runs into not one, but two Broncos before almost falling on his face and then keeping his balance before running away from the rest of the Denver defense.
This particular play shows exactly how dominant Charles can be and why he is a rising star in this league.
4. 2010: Chiefs reverse flea-flicker TD vs. 49ers
7 of 10In probably the wildest play on this list, the Chiefs executed a perfect trick play for a touchdown against the 49ers last season.
Thomas Jones took the snap in the shotgun, then pitched it to a running Dexter McCluster, who then pitched it back to QB Matt Cassel, who did the rest by nailing WR Dwayne Bowe for a 45-yard bomb in the back of the end-zone.
I remember watching this play live and thinking to myself that I had never seen a flea-flicker done this well in my life.
3. 2002: Dante Hall 49-yard TD reception vs. Broncos
8 of 10The great Dante Hall strikes Denver twice in this list, except this time as a receiver.
In one of the best jukes ever by an NFL wideout, Hall is able to make plenty of space for him to maneuver and eventually go around the Broncos defense en route to a long touchdown catch and run.
After this play, many around Kansas City started calling Hall the human joystick, and for good reason.
2. 2010: Tony Moeaki 18-yard TD reception vs. 49ers
9 of 10Many have already dubbed this TD as the best play turned in by any Chief last season.
Then-KC rookie Tony Moeaki reached out for a Matt Cassel pass with one arm and hauls it in the back of the end zone for a sensational one-handed TD grab.
This touchdown was got many hits after the Chiefs-49ers game last season, and it will likely be remembered for a long time by Chiefs fans everywhere.
1. 2003: Dante Hall 93-yard punt return TD vs. Broncos
10 of 10The "X-factor," also known as Dante Hall, was the best kick/punt returner in Chiefs history and was one of the best in NFL history as well.
In this return, Hall reverses his direction two different times as he completely fools Denver and runs right by them for a 93-yard score.
This was easily the most incredible play in Hall's NFL career, and it is still remember as one of the best punt returns ever turned in by a Chief to this day.
