Todd JacksonOct 17, 2008

Chien has been sidelined since mid-June, injuring his foot rounding third base during interleague play down in Houston. The Yanks won that game 13-0. How sad to lose your ace in a laugher like that.

It sounds as though Wang felt fine after the throwing session. How exciting—this should put him on track to be healthy and ready for opening day in the new stadium.

So let us recap the day of Yankee news.

The Baby Boss has announced the Yankees' intention of keeping Joba in the rotation from day one and for the entire season. Finally a decision has been made. This is good news indeed. Expect a change within a week.

Now Fox Sports is reporting the Yankees best starter has taken his first step on the road back to a major-league mound. Good news indeed.

This constitutes two of the five starters Yankee fans can expect and count on next April. Not a bad start to work with.

Joba Chamberlain

Fill in the blanks folks. Who is next, C.C., Peavy, A.J., Hughes, Aceves...Who knows how it will all play out. One thing is for sure, it will be fun to watch it all unfold this offseason. The hot stove should be scorching this winter.

With all that has gone on lately, this news is a breath of fresh air for Yankee fans everywhere.

Keep it up Wang; you're our ace as of right now. Come back strong and show us what we have been missing.
